This circa-1760's restored building makes it one of the oldest in the city as well as one of the most beautiful. With a private patio and beautiful brick work as well as original fireplaces and fabulous floors, run don't walk, 'upstairs' as this elegant space is EVERYTHING.

Incomparably located in the heart of Downtown Charleston, full of southern charm + rich history, Upstairs at Midtown is perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies + receptions, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, farewell brunches, social gatherings + corporate events.

Located within an 18th century building with many of its original architectural elements intact, Upstairs at Midtown features authentic heart pine flooring, tall mahogany coffered ceilings, beautiful fireplaces + artfully laid brick walls. While one side of the venue overlooks popular King Street, the other side features a private rooftop.

Offering both indoor + outdoor space, the versatile floor plan can accommodate ceremonies of up to 50 guests or cocktail style functions of up to 125 guests.

Our venue rental fee includes use of the property for a 3 hour event, as well as 5 hours of pre-event set up + 1 hour of post-event breakdown.

The property can be rented for longer receptions at a rate of $250/hour.

Additional time for set up + breakdown may be added at a rate of $250/hour.

An impressive inventory of rental items is also included in the venue rental fee, including:

Located in the heart of Downtown Charleston on Upper King Street, Upstairs at Midtown is the perfect venue for your wedding ceremony + reception, rehearsal dinner, or welcome party! Our historic venue boasts beautiful exposed brick walls, coffered ceilings, original heart pine floors, gorgeous fireplaces + chandeliers, as well as a private rooftop patio. As guests enter from a private entrance off of conveniently located King Street, they will make their way up a flight of stairs before stepping into a beautiful foyer area. Two identical rooms sit on either side of the foyer while a private rooftop space is accessible through these areas.
Design:
Consisting of two large rooms + a private rooftop, the versatile floor plan is perfect for fluid cocktail-style parties + seated events. The two interior rooms + rooftop patio can be used as one continuous space.

A built in speaker system + TV with HMDI, as well as AppleTV connectivity, allow for easy entertaining.
