Upon spotting this greenery-filled emerald and melon-toned bar, we’re thinking #botanicalbrunching should totally be a bucket list item. Amsterdam is known to have a bit of eye candy at every turn, but even better if that eye candy comes in the form of a cool bar that’s designed with every teeny tiny detail in mind, right down to the powder pink coffee mugs.

Located in Amsterdam East, there’s no shortage of cool restaurants and bars nearby, but Bar Botanique is a standout in all its brightly hued glory.

This week’s #BirthdayBucketList is New York City’s favorite oyster bar. Where to score the best oysters in the Big Apple is debatable, but as far as ambiance goes, it’s downright impossible to beat Grand Banks Oyster Bar—and that’s because it’s hosted on a revitalized mid-century wooden ship known as the Sherman Zwicker.

Watching a sunset sink its fiery skin into the ocean from the New York City waterfront should be—and likely is—on everyone's bucket list. In the warmer seasons, is there a better way to appreciate the good life than toasting your friends or family with a rich blend of grand colors before you and the greatest city skyline ever behind you? No, probably not. Plus, there’s a cocktail menu and oysters!

Ah, New York City. The land of opportunity. The land where eight million people live on one single island. With this many people and a variety of cultures, there are bound to be thousands of diverse and delicious places to indulge in this pretty-little meal we call brunch. But what is it about this morning meal that makes us so downright happy? Is it the plethora of flaky pastries, the oozing of egg yolks or the sweet sparkle of a much-needed mimosa? Maybe it’s the atmosphere: spending the last hurrah of the weekend with close friends before we all face an inevitable case of the Mondays.

When you talk about Sunday mornings, they sound hopeful — radiant even! In your mind, each and every time, they’re sunny blocks of free time, seemingly conjured up out of voodoo, where exploration is possible and adventure is inevitable. They carry a weight in your heart and a (mild) delusion in your mind that you can, if only for a few hours, return to the endless sunset skies of your summertime youth.

Enter the soul-reviving wonderland that is brunch, and welcome to this week's Sunday #BrunchBucketList. Today, we dine, dream, and do it up properly at the newly opened Cindy’s Rooftop.

What if Everything Started on Sunday?

What if we all measured our weeks by starting, instead of ending, on Sunday? Wandering into our week at a pace in line with our pulse, beholden to no job or timetable. Is there anything more luxurious than rubbing the sleep from your eyes whenever you want? We think not. Then from bed to brunch: hand-crafted heirloom tomato, salty-rimmed bloody mary’s with extra olives, leisurely paced conversation and cute outfits with no dress code. It would make Mondays feel like second-class citizens… which is where they belong with all their self-importance.

So if we’re talking about starting our week off on a wondrous note, our #SundayBrunchBucketList of the week goes to the most beautifully restored beach house, 27 Restaurant + Bar, adjacent to purveyor of ‘posh’tel cool, the Freehand Miami. So round up your mains and head here, located in the courtyard of one of the most fabulously designed hostels in the country and have an “easy like Sunday morning” brunch in this beautiful gathering space that blurs the lines between ‘posh’ hostel and hotel that feels like home.
