Tuscan villa weddings never cease to inspire. There’s something so magical about that fragrant Italian air, the rich history, and the gorgeous architecture. And Italians seem to host weddings with such an air of simplicity, like it’s no big deal to host a dinner party for fifty or sixty people outdoors, under the clear Tuscan sky. Sara and Patrick’s wedding at Villa Catureglio has us all in total fantasy land over here, what with the Chestnut hunt in the mountains, vineyard tours, and the gorgeous meals they celebrated with.

Sara and Patrick recently filled us in on all the details of their wedding planning from afar. They worked with the creative and brilliant duo, Elyse and Katie, at BW Theory in Austin to make all their great ideas into a reality.

A girls getaway weekend would not be complete without a little surf, sun, and style. Enter the brand spankin’ new Surfjack Hotel on Waikiki. This cute boutique hotel, on Hawaii’s favorite throwback island, packs more vintage charm punch than a rock solid beach boys-only playlist. We can totally picture you and the girl squad lounging around in your kaftans, sipping on cocktails, rocking out to rockabilly surf tunes at this cool spot.

Local art, cool surfboards, and nods to Hawaii’s epic surf culture abound at these modern digs. Check out the three-bedroom suites for some slumber party mania that’s way more grown-up than your parents’ basement.

For a weekend of beach bummin’, heading out to Manhattan Beach is a no-brainer. What's not to love about the sound of the waves, cute shops, and epic sunsets? For this multicultural wedding planned by Sugar Branch Events, guests were able to enjoy a weekend by the Pacific while all staying in one hotel that was totally easy for out-of-towners to get to. The best thing about having all your friends and fam in one place for the weekend is that you get to really maximize your time together. We can practically hear the clinking of glasses just thinking about it.

A wedding that brings together two cultures and two religions is not always the easiest thing to plan, but this couple makes it look easy as an ocean breeze. The Persian groom married his American bride incorporating a Persian sand ceremony, as directed by a Methodist minister. Try saying that ten times fast. Meanwhile, the neutral, modern background at Shade Hotel is softened by minty drapery, a green living wall, and lots of fresh florals. A stroll down the boardwalk is par for the course post-ceremony, and makes for some gorgeous beachy photos. The planners over at Sugar Branch Events gave us the full story behind the scenes of this wedding with Josh Elliott behind the lens.

Parachute has famously put customers to bed in the coziest linens with their heads atop the softest pillowcases. The bedding company's founder and CEO, Ariel Kaye, was inspired to deliver luxury comfort to bedrooms across the country following a picturesque stay on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. There, after an exhausting day taking in the glories of the colorful seaside paradise, she crawled into bed and it was like sinking into dreams. It was the bed every traveler wishes for, the one they forever hope awaits them after an extraordinary day of hikes, bites, and rides. That’s why the woman who gave us the softest sleeping experience ever is taking things up a notch—by opening a hotel.

As if we couldn’t be more obsessed with the retail brand West Elm, they’ve gone and blown us away by announcing they’re launching a hotel line. While we’re totally psyched to see what the rooms will look like, we’re even more stoked about their concept and approach to gathering. The West Elm Hotel brand is making efforts to establish meeting places for locals and tourists alike in each of their new hotel locations, with an emphasis on supporting each city’s local art scene and bringing together creatives from both near and far.

With five locations set to open in 2018, the West Elm Hotel brand has chosen to kick off in cities with serious design and history street cred. For the industrialist, the Midtown Detroit location will offer 135+ rooms on Cass Avenue. For the historic registry buff, the North Loop Minneapolis location will feature 120+ rooms in a former warehouse set in the Warehouse Historic District filled with old milling and shipping facilities. For the Southern preservationist, the Savannah location in the Bull Street Corridor is set to open up 100+ rooms, gorgeous gardens, a pool, a retail shop, and a restaurant on Drayton Street. For the artisan, the Charlotte location in the South End will be a hub for creatives that offers up a rooftop pool, 150+ rooms, and a lounge bar that’s all about Sunday gatherings. And lastly, for the culture buff, the Indianapolis location will be housed in an old Coca-Cola bottling plant with a rooftop bar, 120+ rooms, and easy access to the museums and galleries the North Mass Ave Corridor is known for.
