Scout
byScout

Another birthday, another celebration – but where to? Bali is calling your name. Celebrate yourself at the Balinese resort Wapa di Ume and overlook the rainforest and rice fields as you ring in another year. Travel alone, with a companion or bring your closest family and friends to get in touch with nature the luxurious way. Can you see it now? Wading in your private pool overlooking the Balinese rainforest. Sounds like a birthday celebration dream come true.

Lodging

Experience Bali the luxurious way with a villa and private infinity pool. Book the single bed villa if you are traveling solo or with a partner or take over their two-story family villa and bring the whole crew. With mountain, rainforest and rice field views, you’ll wake up to breathtaking scenery.

Balinese Cuisine

Wapa di Ume has two restaurants on site. Mr. Wayan celebrates Balinese cuisine which is rich in spices, fresh vegetables, meat and fish. With meals that are traditionally prepared as offerings for the Gods, Mr. Wayan will place you in the pulse of Balinese food. Their second restaurant, Wapa’s Restaurant, is a fusion of East meets West. This fusion restaurant gazes over an infinity pool with views of the rain forest.

The Spa & Yoga

Wapa di Ume’s three level spa is the perfect Wapa style hideaway to celebrate your birthday. Located in the jungle with rain forest views, this spa features a beauty center and whirlpool. Using Indonesian herbs and spices, natural oils and an exotic blend of perfumes, you get to experience a traditional treatment. Before your spa day, head over to the yoga room for their 8:00 am daily yoga class.

Activities

No trip would be complete without getting in touch with the culture of your travels. Wapa di Ume offers local and traditional activities to expand your horizon. Learn about the Balinese palm leaf and how to create one for a traditional Balinese ceremony. Explore the rice fields of the resort and learn how they are cultivated. Experience the ins and outs of traditional Balinese cooking starting with a trip to Ubud’s traditional market.

The Open Stage

Partake in one of Bali’s greatest traditions, dining with a performance. Celebrate your birthday over dinner at their open stage amphitheater and experience a traditional Balinese show. The night starts with a welcome cocktail and a welcome dance. A local dancing group and children from the village dance the night away, embracing and celebrating Balinese culture for you to witness as you enjoy your birthday meal.
