What happens when you give someone the opportunity to create their dream event where nothing is off limits and everything is a ‘go’? What happens when you bring someone who’s crazy creative into the mix to dream it all up?

The #DreamDinnerParty project is a way to celebrate and connect with kick a** ladies in the creative space as The Venue Report is led by our fab female Founder and CEO, Cortnie. The goal is to find like minded lady powerhouses and collaborate on this project together to foster our female focused creative community and to have fun while we do it. So, who’s in?

These were our thoughts as we prepped to get to know Jen Gotch, founder of the super fun brand, Ban.do, beyond the surface. After all, we collaborated with her in 2016 on a pool party at The LINE Hotel so for our next partnership we wanted to, ahem, dive deeper. For our 2017 collaboration we wanted to really learn about her, not through the typical interview questions, but to take things to a new (and way more fun, duh) place, the #DreamDinnerParty.

If you keep up with Jen via Instagram (and you really should) then you know she’s all about color, statement jewelry, and f.u.n. After diving deep into her most extravagant wishes about her dream dinner party (let’s just say kittens ranked highly), we quickly learned that she wasn’t going for the obvious ‘Jen’ choices but instead dreamed of muted, ethereal and cozy vibes for the night while everyone got their fill of carbs and wine. And the best part? Her dream guests were her own team, truly a girl after our own hearts.

The mood for the night was all things blush, soft and feminine from the silk covered pillows for the gals to sit on to the cheeky embroidered napkins saying “nip slip,” “mouth mimosas,” and “I’m very busy” to name a few. All female vendors were chosen in line with our goal of fellow female empowerment and the night was ready to take off.

The table was set with handmade and completely adorable ceramics from LUX EROS, delicate table settings from Hostess Haven, beautifully arranged blooms from Mooncanyon, and a custom menu from A MIHO Experience. A cloud-like white balloon display floated over the table while candles flickered and bubbly was popped.

A silk sheet adorned bed was the photo booth stage covered in candy, glitter, and Band.do inflatable accessories.

Yes, dreams really do come true.
