Here’s a match that we (or anyone else for that matter) never saw coming - Tinder and Delta Airlines. This unlikely but totally genius pair have swiped right on each other to bring Brooklyn a little humor and a lot of press. ‘The Delta Dating Wall’ is printed with exotic locales for singles to take selfies in front of with the tagline “World travelers are more likely to be swiped right.” True? Probably.

... And that's not all! If you are in the NYC area you can also join in on the fun IRL at Tinder and Delta's June 17th "singles-centric" event.

The Future of Ice Cream
New York
REPORTER: Alyssa Brown

With flavors like Cookie Butter Blondie, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and Vanilla Malt Cookie Dough, this Brooklyn-based artisanal ice cream company isn’t just making our mouths water. They’re also a woman-run food business that doesn’t mess around when it comes to quality, growth, entrepreneurship, and all-around lady bossing. Now available in over 2,000 stores across the States, we'd say this artisanal ice cream company is one worth looking out for. It’s only natural that we’d go to one of their founders for our Real Woman Report of the week.

CEO Crista Freeman recently gave us the mega-scoop on how she and her partner launched Phin & Phebes Ice Cream out of their Brooklyn kitchen and she tops it off with a cherry by telling us all about how she learned to trust her gut.  More sweetness below. And if you happen to see her around Brooklyn, maybe throw a high-five her way, but please don't call her honey.

Pretty In Pink

REPORTER: Alyssa Brown

Maybe it’s the rose colored glasses we’ve been wearing, but doesn’t everyone look good in pink? If so, we’d like to make a case for slathering pink all over the interiors of every single restaurant everywhere, just as the monochromatic-loving team at Pietro Nolita has done. Hitting all the right hues, this New York hot spot is sure to make your next brunch feel rosé-drunk and full of love and happiness.

Mogul HQ
REPORTER: Alyssa Brown

With millions of women around the world feeling inspired to action via the Women’s March on Washington, we’ve been scoping out various women’s networks that connect individuals across various backgrounds and ethnicities. Mogul, a worldwide platform of information sharing and social interaction, is currently at the top of our list. Reaching 18 million women per week, across 196 countries, this media platform is a force we’re excited to learn more about.

Founder Tiffany Pham (who’s only 30 by the way, *and* taught herself to code via late night sessions at her kitchen table) recently sat down to give us the whole story behind Mogul and what it means to be a female entrepreneur in the world of start-up tech. Her best advice for building community? “Be kind. Be authentic. Be generous.” We couldn’t agree more. Skip below for more tips and thoughts from Tiffany on what it is to be a true leader.
