Reporter Roundup | Week on Instagram #wherewillyoucelebrate
Cortnie Fausner
by Cortnie Fausner

Last week we headed out to the desert of Palm Springs for some venues, fun and sun.  Hollywood's playground never gets old. Where else can you frolic where legendary celebs like Frank Sinatra & Marilyn Monroe have also frolicked in a bygone era?! Following are some of our Instagram sneaks and field notes about our caftan clad adventure. Yep, we have a caftan obsession (there truly is nothing more comfortable to wear while eating and drinking). We also love cocktails (duh) and because each venue had a pool we threw our love for cannonballs into the mix. Thus our theme Cocktails, Caftans & Cannonballs was born. The full feature and venue details coming soon, but following are some peeks to wet your venue loving whistle. Tweet tweet!

1. The theme was Cocktails, Caftans & Cannonballs. Mae Mae Paperie helped us to bring the vision to life with her incredible graphic design skills.

2. All of the ladies in their caftans. Most were vintage pieces from etsy. The two night FAM trip was organized by Lisa from The Wedding Artist Collective who asked us to jump in on the venue tour portion of the trip. #cocktailscaftanscannonballs

3. Each caftan clad lady got a custom map we designed with Mae Mae Paperie, outlining the tour and fun facts about each venue stop. Photo: Shannen Natasha

4. Frederick Lowe Estate has the most incredible grounds and multiple venue spaces including a secret rose garden. How cool is that tree?! Photo: Shannen Natasha

2. The architecture of Frederick Lowe was jaw dropping. There is even a rotating bed in one of the rooms! Photo: Shannen Natasha

3. All of the ladies lined up under the pink desert skies and pink bougainvillea. Photo: The Wedding Artist Collective

4. Jillian and Amanda from 100 Layer Cake looked glorious.

1. Our second stop was at Colony 29, formerly an artists colony. Photo: The Wedding Artist Collective

2. Colony 29 is almost like taking over your own village for the weekend.

3. Angel from Love & Splendor looked right at home in her caftan here, almost as if she was transported from the 70's.

4. The ceremony spot at Colony 29. At night they wash the mountains with uplighting and there are fire pits and twinkle lights sprinkled around the property.

1. We spent both nights at the stunning Korakia Pensione. Check out the delicious panini and salad I at for lunch at the hotel.

2. The Wedding Artist Collective pulled out all of the stops for a Fall feast. P. S. How magical is that lounge by Pow Wow Vintage Rentals?

3. Korakia Pensione is truly magical. And so are these flowers by Shotgun Floral Studio. Photo: Shannen Natasha

4. The stunning tablescapes designed by Enjoy Events CoShotgun Floral Studio and many other talented vendors.  Photo: Shannen Natasha

We are excited to share the rest of the venues on the tour along with all of the details soon. Long live Cocktails, Caftans and Cannonballs!
