Blue Sky Center

1000 Perkins Rd, New Cuyama, CA, United States

Head out to the high desert of California’s Central Coast and you never know what you’ll find. With any luck (and possibly a tip-off), you might stumble upon Blue Sky Center, a gorgeous collection of cool eco huts and unique accommodations tucked away under the starry desert sky. This special spot is doing all kinds of great work in their Cuyama community, boosting up local farmers and artists alike.

Our friends over at Moonrise Standard recently hosted a farm-forward feast at the desert digs and filled us in on all the details. Here’s the scoop from Moonrise Standard co-founder, Alana Tivnan.

This Wedding Industry Party Is All About Vendor Love
by Scout

Wedding vendors are known to pamper their brides, ensuring the big day to be a spectacular one. But what happens when you turn the wedding industry around and place the focal point on those that make these magical days happen? Enter Tassels and Tastemakers, a wedding industry event thrown for vendors by Be Inspired PR. This year's New York event took place at 404 NYC, a blank canvas that was transformed into a mini-wedding market party. The event was for mingling, networking and industry bonding but the modern design and flowing chardonnay was the icing on the proverbial cake (and we are still swooning over all the little details – hello, spiked ice cream!).

Be Inspired PR recounts the event, from their different booths to the Bridal Market Showcase. With Tassels and Tastemakers, everyone in the bridal industry gets to be the center of attention.

These Photos Prove That White Weddings Are Always a Good Idea

Prospect House

12745 Silver Creek Road, Dripping Springs, Texas

Creative design ideas reigned supreme at this Texas wedding. The inspiration behind the décor for the day was to develop spaces that felt completely different during each part of the wedding. What does that mean exactly? It means a ceremony framed by urns and a large installation overlooking the pastures. It means cocktail hour spent surrounded by lush greenery walls. It means all-white for all dinner décor, including gauzey white fabric draped overhead. It even means a game of late-night ping-pong.

Zoey and Aneri’s wedding at Prospect House in Austin’s Hill Country was nothing short of crush-worthy and we’d expect nothing less from Elyse and Katie of BW Theory working with photographer, Matthew Moore. This is a team that creates stunning design work in Austin, Philly and the tri-state Area. Jump on in for details from Katie and to see Matthew’s gorgeous snaps.

The Line Hotel

3515 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, United States

Known for being a place of community + gathering, The LINE Hotel welcomes travelers and neighbors alike to their “haven for creative expression” in Koreatown, Los Angeles. This summer, The LINE hosted a dinner series, aptly named “Dinner with Strangers”, that gathered influencers from all corners of the creative industry to share a meal and conversation.

The goal: to bring big thinkers together to dine and ideate on what makes a space great. The “Dinner with Strangers” series not only encouraged strangers to become friends, but also enabled a dialogue for the hotel’s team to learn more about how influencers view communal spaces, including hotels and restaurants, what qualities make a gathering space great and also what features make someone want to stay in one venue over another. The diners agreed, ambiance and emotional connection play a big role in deciding on where to stay and play.
