The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is no doubt one of the best places to travel from November to January due to the warm temperatures and gorgeous beaches. Home to second largest barrier reef, Mexico’s Caribbean coast runs the gamut of sites to see and exploring. From the touring the ancient Mayan temples and pyramids, deep diving adventures in magical cenotes, hopping around jungle bars to relaxing just outside the jungle on endless white sand beaches with crystal blue water at your fingertips, Mexico has so much to offer to every type of vacationer - whatever your style.

Our Art Director, Sarah recently ventured up to popular hotspot, Tulum to experience the Maya culture, indulge in it's tropical paradise and get the full scoop! Her vision of a well spent vacation complete with the perfect amount of adventure, shopping, site-seeing, tasting local cuisine and of course rest and relaxation comes to life as she shares all about how she made the most of her trip by covering every to-do within 4 days during her stay in the Yucatán Peninsula. Whether it’s a family vacation at an all inclusive, destination wedding, girl’s weekend, romantic getaway, or spring break, Tulum is an unexpected destination for your next foliage filled getaway. .

Pool Float Product Launch
Serious About Fun
Urban Rooftop Pool Party
REPORTER: Katie David Bush

When one of the coolest, serious-about-fun, girl-led, bad-a** brands in LA approaches you to help them find the most perfect poolside to host their summer product launch soiree, well, if you're us, you roll up yo sleeves and set to one heckuva hot venue search for a "rosé all day".kinda spot.  We'd been fans of the indomintable Jen Gotch and the Ban.do #girlgang for some time, so when the opportunity came about to work together, we knew that hotline bling could only mean one thing.... FUN, and lots of it (ok, ok and lots of neon and pool floats). We knew we needed to find the ultimate location that would show off not only the new Outdoor FUN line of products we'd been dreaming of, posting about and well coveting in a maaaaaajor way for all of our poolside par-TAYs, but the inherent spirit of design and forward-thinking so prevalent in the Ban.do brand. When you NEED a floral day planner, neon bendy straws, rainbow unicorn pool float and an "I Heart Pina Coladas" ring, you know you're onto something special.

If all the world is a stage, then certainly the venue is the massively important opening act. A hop, skip and a quick cannonball from the heart of Tinseltown in Koreatown we fell in perfect step with the The Line Hotel,  where an unmistakable sense of "cool" and "fun" emanates from it's mid-century bones and it's pedigree reflects the heartbeat of the vibrant city it stands prominently and proudly in the middle of. Perfect.

We've had our little gathering-locale-loving eyes a-spy on the beautiful Butcher's Daughter for a few years now, coveting the impossibly chic and sunny decor in it's East Coast eateries and heartily devouring the fresh, healthy fare. So when a little birdie told us The Butcher's Daughter was coming to the West Coast (and Venice Beach, no less) we knew we had to get the inside scoop (and squeal with delight).

Lucky for us, said little birdie happened to come in the form of fabulous Venue Report friend, Correspondent, magnificent interior designer, stylist & owner of the freaking cutest Tiny Canal Cottage (talk about high style in a small space!),  Whitney Leigh Morris. If you're not following her on Instagram @whitneyleighmorris you're just silly. She and The Butcher's Daughter owner Heather Tierney, happen to be long-time collaborators, friends and new Venice neighbors. The two had planned a fun field trip up the coast to Ojai - so Whitney kindly offered to play Venue Reporter and interview Heather during the ride. Let's just say, having these two fabulous creatives in one car must have made for a seriously rad road trip!

If you are looking to get inspired by women, these two will surely fill you up.
