1609 Bar & Restaurant Est. Prior to 1930
76 Pitts Bay Road, Hamilton, Bermuda

- The Scene:
The name of the 1609 Bar & Restaurant celebrates Bermuda’s beginnings in all their ramshackle glory. That’s the year that the Sea Venture was shipwrecked on these shores, and the first colony in Bermuda was born. We celebrate that sea-going spirit in our menu, which stars fresh-off-the-boat seafood: ceviche, crispy calamari, butterfly prawns, Wahoo fish sandwiches and much more, alongside laid-back favourites like tacos, fresh fish, burgers and salads.
We’ve also put together a spirited cocktail menu featuring classic Bermuda specialties such as Rum Swizzle and Dark & Stormy. You’ll also find plenty of island flavours in our Bermuda Mai Tai Pineapple Crush, and Berry Red and Tropical White Wine pitchers of Sangria. Once you’ve chosen your favourite, the scene is set for a perfect evening spent watching the sun go down over Hamilton Harbour.
