If a 1950s sci-fi author conjured up an image of the sparkling, luxurious future, this villa is what they’d come up with. A suspended staircase seems to defy gravity and the sleek, monochrome living room feels like a mid-century entertainer’s pad. There’s a telescope to spot shooting stars in the night sky too. In the master bedroom, the sprawling bed looks like it’s floating, underlit in neon blue. But it’s outdoors that really steals the show here. A huge terrace provides plenty of space to spread out – on one of the canopied day beds, shaded by a straw parasol on a lounger, or cooling off in the swimming pool. A Jacuzzi with its own waterfall fountain is our favourite spot to enjoy the endless view of the Ionian Sea. Outdoor dining is a treat at the stone-hewn table and the barbecue master can prep and cook in peace, tucked away in the summer kitchen by the side of the villa. For days out, it’s less than ten minutes’ drive to the sandy sweeps of Bouka and Tsilivi beaches where you’ll find laid back beach bars, the ruins of a Venetian watchtower on the clifftop and a waterpark for family fun in the sun.
