Venue Setting

Cook Space Brooklyn is a culinary studio designed to foster and build confidence in the kitchen - in an atmosphere where guests feel welcome, inspired, and emboldened to experiment.

Created in a former widget warehouse in Prospects Heights, Brooklyn, Cook Space was imagined to be more than just a place to take cooking classes. Our intention is to create an environment where the act and art of cooking is dismantled, experienced, and celebrated - where mindsets are shifted and one’s experience with cooking is transformed.

Accommodations

Set in an 800-square foot industrial loft, Cook Space has been designed with care to feel more like a home than a cooking school. Located on the second floor of a renovated industrial space, the studio boasts 15-foot ceilings with carefully curated, unique details and personal touches. The result is a space that is inspiring, welcoming and warm - the perfect environment in which to stretch your culinary limbs.

On display upon entering, are all the tools and equipment you'll need to explore your culinary boundaries along with our expansive library of books that feed our inspiration on a daily basis.

At the heart of our studio is, of course, the kitchen. Naturally lit by an enormous overhead sky, it houses a range of equipment found in professional kitchens and homes alike, including, but not limited to, a convection oven, three compartment sink, multiple prep tables and an induction range.

In what was once the freight elevator of this former warehouse, sits the dining room, complete with all the trappings along with a wood-burning fireplace and turntable (with an extensive accompanying record collection). At the end of each class, all of our students gather at our table to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Inside Scoop

Our sensational Culinary Director, Nini Nguyen, hails from New Orleans and makes a mean sazerac (and the best beignets outside of Cafe du Monde!) Her family is of Vietnamese origin, and she displays her passion for her roots in one of our more popular classes, Vietnamese Street Food.

Standout venue features:
Our elegant skylit dining room comes as a surprise upon opening our original oversized industrial freight elevator doors. With carefully curated bistro floor tiles and a stunning Noguchi globe lamp, the space is as elegant as it is inviting. Our wood tables are custom build for us and the space and our music station offers a bluetooth sonos system as well as a record player with hundreds of vinyls to choose from.
Extra perks:
Included in our rental fee is our standard decorating package, entailing seasonal branches and bud vases, along with candles and music playlists upon request. We can create a custom station for any parting gifts for your party and can accommodate additional brought in decorations as well as discuss any other decorating you might wish to incorporate into your special event.

For team building workshops, we have a blackboard, white board and projector for use and can integrate a collaborative cooking component into your day.
