LDV Hospitality’s Dolce Italian was named America’s “Best New Restaurant” in the first season of Bravo’s culinary competition series Best New Restaurant. The modern Italian concept went head to head with 15 other contenders from across the United States to lay claim to the prize, winning the hearts – and appetites – of viewers and the show’s judges in the process. Hosted by chef and restauranteur Tom Colicchio, the series pitted 16 restaurants from New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Austin against one another with each being judged on not only the dishes they served, but also everything from décor to hospitality to overall concept. In the end, our Dolce took home the title as well as an editorial feature in Bon Appétit, a featured spot at America’s number one global food festival, Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit 2015, and $100,000.

Opened January 2013 by LDV Hospitality, Miami Herald three-star Dolce Italian is an inviting café and restaurant.

Located at the newly renovated Gale South Beach, Dolce Italian welcomes guests with classic handcrafted Italian cocktails at a lively bar, and cuisine that is authentic, delicious, and surprisingly affordable.

Italian-born executive chef Paolo Dorigato’s menu of updated Italian classics includes perfectly made pastas such as the Pappardelle alla Bolognese, brimming with braised beef, veal and pork, a rich seafood risotto loaded with shrimp, scallops and calamar
