Venue Setting

Originally built as a working farm c. 1817, Garden Gate at Haley Farm has become a unique location for couples looking to celebrate in all the beauty Western Maine has to offer - rolling mountains, deep pine forests, and a short drive from the shores of Sebago Lake. Whether you grew up in Maine, spent your summers on the lake, or are looking for a rustic setting for your destination wedding, Garden Gate creates the perfect backdrop encompassing rural New England charm at its finest.

Our 70 wooded acres are surrounded by stone walls and include a barn, adjacent lawn, and an open pasture. The nearly 200 year old New England barn remains the heart of the farm. The bright yellow door leads you to a rustic, rough hewn post and beam barn with a  40 x 60' layout with updated wood plank flooring and built-in bar made of reclaimed wood. Above the bar is a staircase leading to a bridal suite. Double doors at the back of the barn lead you to a 40 x 12' deck , 2-stories high looking out on the forrest. Adjacent to the barn is a 40 x 60' lawn surrounded by gardens and the forrest. Perfect for your wedding ceremony and cocktail reception, it also allows for weddings with up to 200 guests the option of a tented reception followed by dancing in the barn. Photo opportunities abound with the open pasture, gardens, stone walls, and 100 year old maple trees.

Venue Features
The Scene:
Our 70 wooded acres are surrounded by stone walls and include a barn, lawn, and open pasture. Guests will celebrate in a historic barn that retains much of its original rustic charm. Signature cocktails may be enjoyed in the built-in bar made of wood reclaimed from the former horse stalls. Continuing through the barn, haylofts have been removed to reveal a soaring three-story ceiling. Hanging doors at the back of the barn lead guests to a wide deck, 2-stories high where guests take in the view of the forrest or follow steps down to the adjacent lawn to enjoy a game of cornhole or s'mores by the fire-pit. Photo opportunities abound with the open pasture, gardens, stone walls, and 100 year old maple trees.
Design:
The nearly 200 year old New England barn remains the heart of the farm. The bright yellow door of the barn leads you to a rustic, rough hewn post and beam barn with updated wood plank flooring perfect for dancing. Guests dine on tables made of wood reclaimed from the barn and warmed by the glow of chandeliers. Above the built-in barn is a staircase leading to a new loft and casually elegant bridal suite. The new deck off the barn provides the perfect setting for a cocktail reception.
Extra Perks:
Tables made of reclaimed wood, fire-pit and chairs, benchs for on-site ceremony, prop rentals from our collection (milk glass vases, chalkboards, vintage plates, etc.), arbor for ceremony site, bistro lights above the deck
