Eva Jiřičná is the grande dame of the Czech architectural scene – and the architect of Hotel Josef. Jiřičná is known for her use of glass and steel, skillful light schemes and innovative use of materials. Her clean and straightforward aesthetic informs the character of the entire building. The Hotel Josef stand-out architectural feature is its brilliant glass and steel staircase as you enter.

As the only Prague hotel in the prestigious Design Hotels™ portfolio, Hotel Josef has created a luxurious city-center haven with a boutique appeal. Czech architect Eva Jiřičná, renowned for her glass-and-steel constructions, has created a warm yet striking interior with exquisite Bohemian glass accents by Lasvit and Preciosa. All spaces within the hotel are bright and airy with large windows bringing the outdoors in. Hotel Josef’s restaurant, a bright and airy 130 sq m space furnished with timeless Thonet hand-woven cane chairs, is suitable for a variety of events such as business lunches, cocktail events, launches, and company parties. The restaurant, where guests enjoy abundant breakfast offerings, is also home to our famous Josef Bakery which bakes French-style breads and pastries fresh every morning. In good weather, the restaurant connects to the adjacent garden, a private urban retreat ideal for coffee breaks and cocktails or breakfast al fresco.
Bars & Lounges:
Our fashionable lobby bar is open to guests throughout the day for small bites and handcrafted cocktails. It can also be reserved in conjunction with our larger events spaces for welcome evenings, meet and greets, pre-dinner drinks or stand-alone parties. In good weather, the bar extends to the adjacent courtyard garden, an appealing option for hosting a variety of open-air events in a charming private green space.
