Surrounded by the beautiful, undulating scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this modern family home sits in the pretty hamlet of Briggswath, a three-minute drive (or twenty-minute walk) from Sleights train station. Walking trails and riverside paths are on your doorstep if you want to get out in nature, and the buzzing coastal town of Whitby is an eight-minute drive away. There’s plenty to do back at home though with a dedicated cinema room in the basement and a games room with a pool table – we love the added touch of light-up pool balls. The open kitchen, living and dining room on the ground floor scream sleek 60s-chic with tangerine geometry against an otherwise pristine white canvas. The stunning chandelier above the dining table is another nod to mid-century entertaining straight out of Beverly Hills. In the garden, you’ll find a deck with a barbecue for alfresco dining and a hot tub for nights under the stars. Rolling hills unfold across the landscape as far as the eye can see.
