Venue Features
The Scene:
Set on the banks of the St. Croix River, Lora is ideally situated for exploring Minnesota’s rich landscapes and the heritage of the Great North. Located on Main Street in Stillwater, the place celebrated as the birthplace of Minnesota, Lora is the latest reimagining of a building originally built in 1868 as the Joseph Wolf Brewery. Carved from the bluffs on the south end of town, Lora feels both familiar through its gracious Midwestern hospitality and also enchanting as contemporary art and original elements of the former brewery nod to the building’s unexpected history and the fable and folklore of the region.
Design:
Designed to celebrate the site’s history and spark the imagination, Lora’s approachable yet upscale aesthetic, modern vibe and sleek lines complement the natural limestone blocks, original bricks and exposed wooden beams of the former brewery. Jewel-toned pops of red against dark fields – from the occasional guestroom door to the bathroom vanities – call to mind the eye of the loon, Minnesota’s state bird. Playful touches – like brass hooks that take the form of rabbit ears and antlers – and a colorful collection of art inspired by the fable and folklore of the indigenous and immigrant people of the region add a sense of discovery and wonder.
Standout Venue Features:
Boasting Provenance Hotels’ signature amenities, Lora offers guests complimentary Shinola bicycles for those who want to explore Stillwater’s historic surroundings; pet-friendly accommodations and amenities designed to keep pets safe and comfortable while on the road; a wellness-minded Well + Fit program offering guests exclusive in-room workouts from CorePower, barre3 and The Lab x Burn and guided meditations via the Calm app; an indulgent sleep experience and signature Pillow Menu; and local honor bar offering an intriguing collection of spirits and comestibles, created by local artisans who are inspired by authentic offerings of the Great North.

Lora’s food and beverage experience is also inspired by the spirit and sensibilities of the North, offering three distinct culinary offerings within the historic hotel. Feller, Lora’s full-service restaurant, is an exploration of modern-day hunting and gathering, with flavors both familiar and unexpected. The Long Goodbye is a destination for crafted cocktails and spirits, while MADE offers a truly sublime cup of coffee and fresh pressed juices.
Celebration Locations

Eats & Drinks
Food, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Lounges
Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
Feller Restaurant is a modern-day homage to hunters and gatherers and is located within a former brewery built into the bluffs at the South end of Main Street in downtown Stillwater.

MADE Coffee where we roast our beans in a 1949 Balestra wood-fired roaster. They don't make machines like that anymore and most people don't make coffee like this either.
Bars & Lounges:
The Long Goodbye Bar is a nod to Minnesota's close-knit communities and famous hospitality. For locals and guests alike, it is a space to connect and unwind.

Lora Hotel

402 Main St S, Stillwater, MN 55082, USA

If a wintery escape is calling your name, but you don’t quite want to venture out to any ski slopes, this new hotel in the small Minnesota town of Stillwater might be just what you’re looking for. Lora Hotel opened in June of 2018 and sits along the banks of the St. Croix River, with views of Wisconsin just on the other side. The suites here are fresh and modern, with nods to the building’s storied past, there are excellent dining and drinking options on site, and the location makes it easy to sneak into the Twin Cities.
