Middle Lodge
Venue Setting
By its very nature, the Isle of Wight is secluded, but this nineteenth-century lodge located in the middle of a twenty-seven-acre park adds another layer of privacy to your stay. Many of the building's original features have been retained — such as Victorian fireplaces and alcove windows — but the vast majority of the interior has been brought up to the standards demanded by today's travellers. White walls throughout make the rooms feel bright and inviting, while a huge corner sofa in the living room is ideal for gathering everybody together for a movie night. Outside, there's a lovely mature garden, which has a lawn for games and an alfresco dining table on the patio. If the weather's not so good, there's more seating in the conservatory area. In the local area, both Appley and Ryde Beaches can be reached in around ten minutes on foot, while there are lots of places to stop off in the town of Ryde itself, including the Isle of Wight Bus and Coach Museum.
