Venue Setting

The Overlook Barn sits atop of Beech Mountain, NC and spans over 4,500 square feet. When you walk in, you first are awestruck by the 30-foot arched ceilings with exposed wood beams. The Overlook Barn was fully renovated in 2015 with brides and grooms in mind. It is where rustic charm meets luxury. The Overlook Barn can accommodate 250 guests for a seated dinner indoors and 500+ for a tented event.

Additional Charges

The Venue Fee includes access to the Overlook Barn from 10am-Midnight the day of your event and 1 hour the day prior to the event for rehearsal. We allow you to bring in your own vendors of choice for catering, coordination, music, florals, etc. We do require professional day-of coordination and professional catering.

There are two areas for brides and grooms (and the wedding party) to primp and prep before the wedding! We have a Styling Suite complete with a custom-built makeup counter, full-length mirror, plush seating, and a restroom. The Polishing Room has a more masculin look and is complete with plentiful seating, large mirror, and restroom. 

The venue is located in a resort town that offers multiple lodging options including hotels, cabin rentals, and inns close by.

The property is in Banner Elk, NC on top of Beech Mountain, which, at 5,506 feet above sea level is the highest town in Eastern America. It boasts cool summer evenings and breathtaking views year-around. The barn itself has stunning arched ceilings made of exposed wood beams. Banner Elk is a vacation destination with a ski resort, numerous golf courses, restaurants, lodging, and outdoor adventures.

Multiple acre meadow perfect for a ceremony with a gorgeous view or for a tented reception.
- View: The view from the meadow is 40+ miles of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Absolutely gorgeous.

Overlook Barn:
Renovated barn with 30-foot arched exposed beam ceilings, acid-stained polished flooring, renovated barn stalls that can be used for photobooths, dessert areas, seating areas, gift room, etc.
- View: Gorgeous high ceilings with stunning lighting. Outside in the firepit area, there is a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Cliffside Barn:
The "small barn" on the property has a glass garage door that opens up into a stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It also has a gorgeous chandelier and original hard wood floors. It's a great setting for an intimate ceremony (~80 people) or cocktail hour.
