Take scenic Route 20 to the Red Barn at Windridge Estate in historic Cazenovia, NY. RedBarn20 offers a sophisticated country experience in “One of America’s Coolest Small Towns.” The eighty hilltop acres look out onto Oneida and Cazenovia Lakes, sprawling hills and 40-mile panoramic views.

RedBarn20 uses the rustic imagination of the Windridge Estate to create magical spaces for your wedding or special gathering. This centuries-old property includes the E.S. Jackson House, the Red Barn, the White Stone Barn, original smokehouse and Farmer Cottage. Each is restored to preserve the timeless beauty of colonial New York architecture.

Built in 1804 by founding resident and Cazenovia’s second mayor Eliphalet Steel Jackson, the Windridge Estate remains largely intact and offers a special glance into the colonial history of the area. The main house, barns, original smokehouse and farmer cottage still stand from the original construction and have been meticulously restored by master craftsmen. The Red Barn and White Stone Barn are the heart of RedBarn20 and have a timeless charm. Combined they offer over 5,000 square feet of rustic yet refined event space.

The Scene:
As you enter the property from Historic US Route 20, you immediately feel a sense of excitement, anticipation, a "what will we find at the end of the winding driveway?" feeling.... Before arriving at the entrance to the Red Barn you are wowed by the view of rolling hills, tree-covered hilltops and a distant Oneida Lake on a clear day. The approach to the barns hints at the refinement one finds at the end; two meticulously restored and renovated barns and patio space encompassing over 5000 square feet of event space, two regulation length bocce ball courts, apple trees, grape arbor, gazebo, tree swing, blooming flowers and natural tall grasses swaying in the breeze.
Design:
Both the Red Barn and White Stone Barn date back to the 1700s, exuding the craftsmanship and old world charm of a by-gone era, yet providing architecturally sensitive and tasteful modern-day conveniences for our guests' comfort. 
We have incorporated elements of the past by repurposing materials in creative and aesthetically thoughtful ways.
Standout Venue Features:
All guests are provided access to our 5 miles of trails that wind through the property. Perfect for an early morning solo mountain bike ride or "chatty" group hike. Guests are also welcome to use our two regulation length bocce ball courts and if the games go late, can switch the balls out to our glowing in the dark set.

The Red Barn:
Beautifully restored barn offering an elegant yet rustic space to celebrate life's special moments. The barn has evolved over its 200 year history from agricultural, equestrian and now an entertainment venue remaining true to the integrity of the past, while also providing refined space and amenities to accommodate for present day.
- View: The Red Barn has a view of rolling hills and lakes to the North. You can stand inside at the bar and enjoy the lake view on a clear day. A "bar with a view!"

The White Stone Barn:
The White Stone Barn is a jewel box of a barn. Its 8ft stone walls and exposed beams and upper wood walls create an intimate space for smaller events. The barn can seat up to 60 for a seated dinner and 100 for a cocktail reception.
- View: The White Stone Barn boasts spectacular views of the grounds and pastoral valley to the North. The sunset sets aglow the western windows such that one might think there is a bonfire outside.

When RedBarn20 at Windridge Estate opened last June, we knew all the sweet couples out there looking for an elegant yet rustic wedding venue would scoop this spot up quickly. So, when we got a hold of these wedding photos at the property, we were thrilled to see the party place in action. This wedding comes to us from photographer Anna Elizabeth, and she’s filled us in on the 411 below including her experience working with the RedBarn20 sisters, MB and Ann, who own the property.

As for the property, it’s pretty epic if you’re looking to host a multi-day celebration or retreat in Upstate New York. There are a couple of glamping tents from Under Canvas onsite as well as two barns on the sprawling grounds, one red and one white, so you can host multiple events with a change of scenery for each. Kick off your wedding weekend with welcome cocktails at the white stone barn, start the next day with a group yoga session in the barn followed by a dip in the pool, get ready for your wedding in the 4-bedroom cottage, then head out to the pastures for a wedding ceremony and end the day with a reception in the big red barn. Wake up the next day in your glamping tent for brunch outside and hit the hiking trails to enjoy panoramic views of the hilly countryside. Et voila! A weekend filled with friends, family and a whole lot of time spent soaking up the sunshine.
