Venue Features
The Scene:
Blue sky, emerald green pine trees and granite cliffs frame your time at Taylor River Lodge. Formerly used as a locals' general store for fishing and tackle, the property has since been transformed into a private, eight-cabin retreat open from late May through mid-October. The off-the-grid location deep in Colorado’s Taylor Canyon is the perfect setting for friends, families and corporate groups to unplug and reconnect. The surrounding mountains offer rugged single track and scenic hiking trails, and the on-site, rock climbing wall, archery and hatchet throwing area will make you nostalgic for your Scout days.

The lodge defines "rustic luxury" by spoiling guests with the finest linens, amenities, and hospitality while also also inviting them to gather around the campfire for stargazing and s’mores.
Design:
Reaching back to the late 1800’s, the Taylor Canyon was shaped by a diverse history of gold mining and ranching. Today, the Taylor Canyon is a source of world-class whitewater, unspoiled trout fishing and stunning scenery in every direction. Formerly used as a locals general store for fishing and tackle, the property has since been transformed into a private retreat. Many of the cabins and structures are built on existing footprints using the original six-inch D-log kits. Don't be fooled by the log-cabin exteriors, you can be gaurenteed that every cabin and interior is outfitted with the finest finshes and luxury amenities.

Taylor River Lodge is a private retreat offering guests a largely all-inclusive experience. Whether you're visiting Taylor River Lodge for a family reunion, special birthday celebration or wedding, our guide team will be at-the-ready to lead you on any number of guided activities such as mountain biking, whitewater rafting, hiking or rock climbing. All meals, house alcohol, local transportation and necessary gear for activities are also includied (excluding formal event times). With a full staff on property to take care of your every need, you will want for nothing.

Meals at Taylor River Lodge showcase locally-sourced ingredients from the Rocky Mountain’s local farms and purveyors. Tell us your dietary preferences and then make yoru choice from our seasonal menus featuring dishes like smoked pulled pork with heirloom grit soufflé and cast iron chicken with cornbread panzanella salad with watercress and apple cider jus. Guests of all ages love nostalgic touches, such as house-made s’mores waiting fireside after dinner.
Bars & Lounges:
Beverages are served up at our main Lodge bar, while local beers are on tap in Copper John, our game & media cabin. Ask us about our retro-beer truck for special events!
