The Estate, an original 1902 Federation home, has been designed and decorated by interior stylist, Lynda Gardener.
Inspired by Scandinavian interiors, fresh white walls, dark floors and airy rooms, complemented by natural wood furniture, a mix of old and new curated collections from European flea markets, to local country finds.
An original c1902 three bedroom federation house set amongst beautiful gardens in the heart of Trentham - just over one hour from Melbourne.
The living room is filled with wall to wall sofas to laze and relax on or choose to curl up and read in front of the wood fire in winter. Open the double french doors to the north facing summer garden in the warmer months. Turkish and hand crocheted rugs adorn the floors while oversized light fittings, cushions, throws, were all hand made for you to enjoy.
The BARN features as part of the Estate grounds, located adjacent to the house and surrounded by wonderful established gardens. The space is available for events, gatherings, workshops, weddings and photo shoots.
When hiring the Barn, you will also have use of the grounds surrounding the venue, including a mini orchard and harvest gardens. Suited for 40 people seated or up to approximately 60 people for a stand up cocktail event. All Barn hire is in conjunction with a minimum of 2 nights accommodation with the exception of workshops, photo shoots, location hire or smaller events which can be booked for an afternoon or day hire, Sundays or mid-week.
Our local gardener Tim Pilgrim tends to the garden weekly, ensuring produce for each and every season. The harvest garden has an array of fresh herbs, salad leaves and vegetables for you to hand pick and use during your stay at the house. A mini orchard featuring pears, apples and quinces, is also the perfect setting for long lunches and dinners under the trees. Surrounding the vegetable patch is a mediterranean garden as well as strawberries, blackberries and raspberries to enjoy all summer long.
