Located on the edge of what may be Vermont's most beautiful village, The Jackson House Inn offers refined lodging with luxury touches, including a museum-quality collection of fine art. Originally constructed in 1990 and expanded a century later, the Inn is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway, a get-together with friends, or an intimate wedding. Set in three acres of perennial gardens, featuring a freshwater pond and views of the surrounding hills, the Inn is a tranquil respite from the bustling shops of nearby Woodstock. At breakfast, savor two or three courses featuring organic products harvested from local farms and farmers markets, as well as herbs and greens from our own gardens and eggs from our own chickens. Designated a Green Hotel, we offer the attention of a boutique inn whether you select a one-room suite with a fireplace or a classic room. All rooms offer private bath, linens by Frette, Anichini bedcoverings, antiques, flatscreen TV, individually controlled AC/heat, and free WiFi. Our floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace is a delight in cold months.

Additional Charges

For wedding ceremonies, receptions, family reunions, and similar events, we require that the organizer book the entire Inn (currently 12 rooms). If out of season, on a weekday night, a minimum one-night whole facility rental is required. If out of season, on a weekend night (Friday to Sunday), a two-night whole facility rental is required. If in shoulder or high season, a two-night whole facility is required Monday to Thursday and a three-night while facility rental is required Friday to Sunday.

Taxes are additional.

Catering charges, alcohol, event organizer fees, flowers, tent rental if needed are not included in the venue fee.

Daytime and evening corporate events do not typically require a whole facility rental but please call the Inn for details.

The Jackson House Inn offers 12 guest rooms, all with luxurious private baths, including six one-room suites and six classic rooms. Most feature garden views. All of our one-room suites feature gas fireplaces and most feature whirlpool baths. Five of our rooms feature private balconies or terraces. All guest rooms feature Frette linens, Anichini bed coverings, and Whisper Hill bath products.

Venue Features
The Scene:
The Jackson House Inn is built in a classic Vermont manor house style dating to 1890 with exceptionally sensitive extensions built a century later. The Inn is a mere 5-minute drive from downtown Woodstock, but affords a tranquil setting with ample parking. The Inn is set in 3 acres of landscaped gardens traversed by a creek, with a delightful trout pond at the rear of the property. Private landscape nooks feature Adirondack chairs and Lutyens benches. The Inn itself is graced with extensive porches where house cocktails can be enjoyed in the evening. A fire pit sits in the center of the property and is the perfect way to take off the chill in fall and winter.
Design:
The Jackson House Inn is the perfect combination of old and new. With extensive public rooms, there is room for all of your guests to spread out, find private spots for conversation, and then come together again. The Inn's three sitting rooms and all our guest rooms feature a destination-worthy collection of art including Hudson River School paintings from the nineteenth century and historic and contemporary photographs. Our dining room features expansive elevated garden and mountain views and is furnished with custom furniture from Shackleton Thomas. Our intimate tavern has been newly refurbished.

The Gardens:
Our magnificent gardens are to be found at the rear of the property and are sheltered by the Inn itself, assuring you and your guests nearly total privacy. A tent is required, but affords easy access to the Inn's dining room should you wish to have an indoor/outdoor event.
