Venue Setting

The historic Windwood Ranch is a picturesque venue for weddings, parties, retreats, reunions, workshops, photoshoots, filming, events, and much more. With over 30 stunning acres of rolling hills, forests of moss-covered oaks, and vista views of wineries and the coastal range the ranch is breathtaking. Unlike the majority of venues in wine country, the Windwood Ranch features luxurious and photogenic lodging options. The property features a large designer ranch house with multiple rooms for entertaining, a stunning pool and cabana, tennis court, garages and parking. There's a guest house with its own private pool, vineyard views, and a two-tiered deck. An 8,000 square foot barn stylishly decorated for receptions, large dinners, yoga and wellness classes, seminars, and events. The barn is an indoor outdoor with a concrete fire pit and lounge area, and a dinner table for 40 people. The ranch has three 20' glamping tipis with luxurious amenities, water and power, and elegant furnishings. There are four fully restored vintage campers, 1969 24' Airstream, 1969 22' Streamline Duke, a 1979 32' Avion, and a 1953 34' Spartanette. There's an additional covered outdoor kitchen and dining table for 40ppl, multiple pergolas, firepits, bbq grills, and our sunset pergola with sweeping views of the Paso Robles valley vineyards and coastal range - for epic sunsets.

The Windwood Ranch is one of the few venues in the Central Coast that also offers luxury lodging options. For all weddings and multi-day events, we require our clients to book the entire ranch. We are open to building room blocks and reserving the spaces for your guests to book and pay us directly. We have a luxury interior designed main Ranch House with 4 bedrooms and two and one-half baths, views, a pool, tennis court, and more. Our guest house, the Hideaway House, is a one bedroom cottage with a bathroom that sleeps 3. The Hideaway House has a split level deck and private pool of its own. Additionally, we have 4 fully restored vintage campers and three luxury glamping tents. There are two freestanding bathrooms with three bathrooms and three showers, and a clubhouse/bridal/groom's suite.

The luxurious and stylish Ranch House features 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The layout of the Ranch House was designed with parties and hosting in mind. There's a large professional kitchen, two dining rooms, a game room with a pool table and club chairs, multiple vintage fireplaces, decks with stunning views, a deep figure eight pool, pool pergola, and pool bathroom.  

Our guest house, The Hideaway House, is a studio cottage that sleeps three. There's a newly renovated designer kitchen and bathroom. The Hideaway boasts stunning views of the rolling hills and neighboring vineyards. There is a two-tiered deck and private pool overlooking Gelfand Winery.  

Adjacent to the Hideaway House are two private bathrooms with showers and our Windwood Ranch Clubhouse that is used by guests for various purposes including a bridal suite or groomsmen area.  

The Western portion of the Windwood Ranch is our glamping area. The ranch boasts three glamping 20' tipis with various bedroom arrangements, from "Stevie" our honeymoon tipi with a Queen bed, "Eagles" which features a double over double bunk, to "Marley" with its two full-size bed set up. All of the tipis have decks, concrete floors, power, designer touches, vintage mini fridges, vanities with fresh water, heaters, fans, and LP players.  

In addition to the tipis, we feature four fully restored vintage campers with luxury appointments for a truly unique glamping experience. A 1969 24' Airstream named "Zeppelin", "Janis" a 1969 22' Streamline Duke, "Bowie" a 1979 32' Avion, and "Cash" a 1953 34' Spartanette.

After searching for a wedding venue in the Paso Robles area, the owners of the property decided to purchase and design the Windwood Ranch to satisfy all of the elements they felt were lacking in the area. The ranch truly is magical, and there are so many incredible spaces on one property it can satisfy so many needs from weddings to family reunions, corporate retreats to wellness events.  The barn and the sunset pergola areas are amazing places for yoga and meditation.

Venue Features
The Scene:
A stunning 30-acre ranch short term rental and event space situated atop the rolling hills just 10 min east of downtown Paso Robles. Surrounded by award-winning wineries, picturesque sunsets, hundreds of moss-covered oaks, hiking trails, swimming pools, a tennis court, outdoor kitchen, pergolas, banquet table for 50+, & panoramic views of rolling hills & vineyards as far as the eye can see. The Windwood Ranch sits on an oak covered plateau above the award-winning wine country of Paso Robles, CA. The 30-acre property boasts incredible sunset views from innumerable vantage points. For over a century the land was known as the Dresser Ranch, owned by one of the early pioneers of San Luis Obispo County. To the West is the Santa Lucia Range, and just beyond the famous Hearst Castle, Big Sur, and the Pacific Ocean. Tom Petty spent the night on the ranch in 1986 after headlining and closing out the Mid State Fair with living legend Bob Dylan. 
Design:
The Windwood Ranch owners recently remodeled and re-designed every space on the property. The mid-century Ranch House has gorgeous reclaimed barn wood floors laid in a chevron pattern. There's marble countertops, vintage fireplaces, and designer touches everywhere you look. Each of the vintage campers have been refurbished and designed with classic rock stars in mind. Because famous musicians like Tom Petty and Bob Dylan have stayed on the ranch, many of the design features are a nod to the classic rock stars of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. 
Standout Venue Features:
Guests of the Windwood Ranch rave about our redesigned barn, with its views, oversized Edison bulbs strung on rope lights, and an epic chandelier that was salvaged from a South Beach mansion. Every aspect of the ranch is extremely photogenic, from the rolling hills, vineyard views, sunset pergola with sweeping vistas of the coastal range, to the painted tipis, shiny vintage campers, and our rustic chic vibe. 
Extra Perks:
Our venue comes equipped with multiple outdoor tables, pergolas, and spaces that are perfect for large groups. For those who wish to stretch out their event and stay, we have pools, a tennis court, outdoor games, and more.

The Sunset Pergola is an area on the Western most point of our hill top ranch. There's an ancient oak tree, Adirondack chairs, multiple pergolas, and ample space for ceremonies or parties.

The Barn:
Our 8,000 square foot barn has been fully designed and renovated for events and receptions. There's gorgeous oversized barn doors, the entire north facing wall opens up to views, there's a stunning chandelier, shiplap reclaimed barn wood walls, dinner tables, fire pit, and more.

The Ranch House:
