UBC Farm is not to be confused with the Old Mc Donalds 'e-i-e-i-o' farm. This research venue is all about sustainable farm-fresh fare, so host a grandiose garden party with a cause!
This Vancouver venue is perfect for posh picnics, retreats, BBQ bashes, field dinner parties and rolicking games of bocce ball and beer. The stars will be your twinkle lights as you dance amongst rolling rows of lavender and greenery.

Venue Features
The Scene:
With over 50,000 visitors each year, the Farm is a bustling hub of activity for the UBC and Vancouver community. On any given day, you may find undergraduate students touring the farm with their professors, graduate students doing research, a salmon smoke and Aboriginal community feast near the fire pit, school children on a class tour, customers shopping at our Saturday market, and a public workshop or lecture. This means it’s highly likely you’ll be sharing the site with others, especially if your event occurs during our open hours.
Design:
When considering the UBC Farm for your event, please keep in mind that we are a working research and production farm. This means there may be farm equipment and materials around, farm staff and students working in the fields, irrigation watering the crops, animals making noises (and smells), and other farm activities going on. Though we maintain cleared pathways, the terrain is generally bumpy and not manicured. This all adds to the uniqueness and authenticity of the site, but we strongly encourage you to visit before booking to make sure it’s a good fit for your event.

UBC Farm

Ross Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

We’re always chatting about the importance of gatherings to make people feel like they’re part of a community, but our gatherings would be null without great food and drink. The team at Canada’s Farmacie is totally with us on that point. This crew not only produces amazing pop-up events where they connect folks over delicious meals, but they do it all in the name of fundraising for local farms, small businesses and non-profit foundations.

The Farmacie crew recently hosted a Garden of Eden community dinner in the poplar grove at UBC Farm in Vancouver to raise funds for Thrive Alive. They asked guests to show up in their Thursdays' finest (aka: farm chic) and prepared the attendees to expect the venue to completely blow their farm-to-table, garden of eden dreams out of the water. How much fun does that sound?! We turned to them for the whole story behind these amazing (and gorgeous!) events. Be sure to check out their event newsletters, because this is a team that’s worth keeping an eye on. More from Farmacie below.

UBC Farm

Ross Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Who doesn't love a farm fresh fête?!  If you want to keep your celebrations close to the amenities of a city, but want a feeling of escape, the UBC Farm should be on your radar. This venue is a working farm: supporting research, producing food, and engaging the local community through various events and farmer’s markets. It’s located on the University of British Columbia campus where you’ll find hidden trails to secret beaches and acres of west cost rainforest to wander in and, is only a twenty five minute drive from the heart of Downtown Vancouver.
