When RedBarn20 at Windridge Estate opened last June, we knew all the sweet couples out there looking for an elegant yet rustic wedding venue would scoop this spot up quickly. So, when we got a hold of these wedding photos at the property, we were thrilled to see the party place in action. This wedding comes to us from photographer Anna Elizabeth, and she’s filled us in on the 411 below including her experience working with the RedBarn20 sisters, MB and Ann, who own the property.

As for the property, it’s pretty epic if you’re looking to host a multi-day celebration or retreat in Upstate New York. There are a couple of glamping tents from Under Canvas onsite as well as two barns on the sprawling grounds, one red and one white, so you can host multiple events with a change of scenery for each. Kick off your wedding weekend with welcome cocktails at the white stone barn, start the next day with a group yoga session in the barn followed by a dip in the pool, get ready for your wedding in the 4-bedroom cottage, then head out to the pastures for a wedding ceremony and end the day with a reception in the big red barn. Wake up the next day in your glamping tent for brunch outside and hit the hiking trails to enjoy panoramic views of the hilly countryside. Et voila! A weekend filled with friends, family and a whole lot of time spent soaking up the sunshine.

Tell us about this couple and how you came to photograph this wedding.

Karen and Eric reached out to me because one of my friends (who is also a photographer) referred them to me for their wedding day. From Karen's very first email, I knew we were going to be great together! We had a blast at their engagement session with some very pretty surroundings. It was a way for me to get to know Karen and Eric even more. After that, I couldn't wait for their wedding day! Every bride and groom is different, but I really can't say enough nice things about Karen and Eric. They are amazing people.

Redbarn looks like such a beautiful place for a wedding - how was shooting here?

Redbarn20 is gorgeous! Shooting there was like a dream. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look, an amazing white house for the girls to get ready in, ceremony views were jaw-dropping and the reception area was amazing. I just can't get over how beautiful it all was. They even had a little patio right outside of the reception area where there were blankets, a bonfire and twinkle lights strung across. It was very cozy and romantic.

Any tips for couples looking to get married at RedBarn?

My tip for couples looking to get married there is: Do it! It's an amazing venue and the owners are so sweet. You won't have anything but a great experience and a fabulous wedding. Book early enough because I can see this place getting booked very quickly.

What were the standout moments from the wedding?

Karen and Eric's wedding had a little hot cocoa and coffee bar outside by the bonfire and everyone loved it. I would totally look into that! The venue also had a tree swing that we had fun with for photos. And, I have to say it again, the owners are incredible! The sisters are so nice and sweet. Redbarn20 is my favorite venue and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic, elegant and absolutely stunning wedding.
