Millbridge Court is what happens when the Kin House approach to the countryside gets a Surrey address built for weddings, product launches, milestone parties, and the pleasing logistics of sleeping over. Set in Frensham, just one hour from London, the newly reimagined 19th-century house arrives neatly inside our 🌿 Field & Country 🏸 collection, a celebration of the places making countryside gatherings feel social, stylish, active, and deeply worth leaving the city for. Here, the modern house party becomes the format: private hire with character, gardens with purpose, food by an in-house team, accommodations for the people who should absolutely not be sent home too early, and enough flexibility to host a wedding one weekend and a beauty brand takeover the next.
ILIA Beauty has already tested the theory with a 24-hour overnight experience at the property, complete with a curated programme of activities and an evening feast. That feels like the correct way to read Millbridge Court: not simply as a venue, but as a setting that gives a celebration its own little world. Guests can arrive by train, gather in the house and gardens, sit down to something generous, stay the night, and make breakfast part of the social architecture. Very darling. Very hospitable.
From weddings and private takeovers to creative retreats and birthdays with better manners, consider this your 🌿 Field & Country 🏸 introduction to Millbridge Court.

The House, In Working Order
Millbridge Court has nine bedrooms in total, which is where the private-house idea becomes more than an aesthetic. The main house holds seven en-suite rooms, designed less like standard venue accommodation and more like a small country hotel with taste: Studio Ashby fabrics, Studio Humbug Quercus wallpaper, vintage furniture, soft robes, and help-yourself snack baskets included.
For weddings, it gives the closest circle somewhere to stay on property; for brand takeovers, it turns the experience into something residential rather than transactional. The final two rooms add the flourish. Room eight, The Cabin, sits in a private wooded corner of the garden with a freestanding bathtub, log burner, hand-painted Balineum tile fireplace, and a deck looking out across the meadow. It is the obvious honeymoon suite, but also a useful reminder of what Millbridge does well: it gives the celebration a home, then lets the overnight stay become part of the charm of experience.

The Bride, the Groom, and the Grounds
Millbridge Court’s wedding appeal is not only that it looks lovely, though obviously, yes. The real advantage is how much of your big day has already been considered: ceremony options indoors and out, a dedicated getting-ready zone, separate dressing space for the other half of the party, terrace drinks, 150-guest dining, food by Kalm Kitchen, and a hidden bar that comes into its own as the evening unfolds. It gives couples the charm of a private country house with the practical bones of a serious event venue, which is exactly the combination you want when everyone is dressed up and asking where to go next.

Feast Is the Format
At Millbridge Court, food is treated as part of the occasion, not the bit wedged between speeches and dancing. The venue works with Kalm Kitchen on menus built around seasonal produce, local suppliers, and the simple pleasure of feeding people delectable food. Depending on the celebration, that might mean fire-cooked feasts, generous sharing menus, wood-fired pizzas, classic plated courses, or something more relaxed and family-style. For private takeovers, the food program is especially handy: a welcome supper, lunches in the garden, a late-night pizza situation, or full evening feast can all sit inside the same stay.

Yes, Your Group Can Take Over the House
Private hire is where Millbridge Court becomes especially useful for groups with more ambition than a single dinner. The house can host 150 guests for a seated meal or 200 for drinks and dancing, which makes room for product launches, milestone birthdays, reunions, team offsites, and brand trips with actual circumstance. ILIA Beauty recently used the property for an overnight stay with curated programming, drinks, and a feast, a neat proof of concept for how the house can hold both the event and the experience around it.
Millbridge can also arrange ceramics, yoga, breathwork, foraging, pasta making, or countryside exploring, so the itinerary has texture without anyone needing to become a camp counselor. Add nine bedrooms onsite, nearby accommodation for wider teams and guests, and two statement halls designed for bigger groups, and the private takeover starts to feel less like a venue hire and more like a very civilized occupation.

The Pleasure is in the Planning
For group celebrations, the difference between a beautiful house and a bookable one is support. Millbridge Court has the romance of private hire, but it is not a keys-and-good-luck situation: the team brings more than a decade of experience planning parties and events, with menus, drinks, activities, rooming, event flow, and wider guest accommodation all part of the conversation. That matters when you are hosting 150 people for dinner, 200 for drinks and dancing, or a smaller group staying over with an itinerary to fill.
The result is a venue that gives you the pleasure of a country house without asking you to manage the machinery yourself. Weddings, brand trips, reunions, retreats, and milestone weekends can all take shape here with the right mix of polish and ease. Come for the Surrey setting, the Kin House pedigree, the bedrooms, the garden, the food, the hidden bar, and the very good excuse to stay the night. Leave with the useful knowledge that Millbridge Court knows how to host the whole thing properly.
