We’ll admit it: we have a weakness for a space that’s been curated within an inch of its life (in the best possible way). The VR Supper Club collection wouldn’t feel complete without a venue that doubles as both a weeknight haunt and a host’s secret weapon. The new hotspot, Bar Trove slips into that role effortlessly. Sexy and swanky, it’s a design enthusiast’s dreamscape: marble counters, fluted paneling, and boucle furniture that could just as easily be staged in a magazine spread as it is beside your cocktail glass. Think Parisian bistro meets Mayfair bar, but with enough personality to sidestep imitation.
It’s the sort of place where Thursdays blur into Fridays, where another round of Trove Martinis pairs well with pommes frites and gossip, yet it’s equally capable of staging a bridal shower, engagement toast, or surprise birthday that feels like an editorial spread waiting to happen. A venue like this isn’t just a gorgeous space. It’s a tool for the host who understands that the environment sets the tone for memory-making, which is why Bar Trove earns its place in our Supper Club Collection.
Bar Trove is fresh on the scene and built for groups - whether it’s a night out with your favorite people or a private celebration.

Meet the Girls Behind the Bar
Bar Trove is the brainchild of Lauren Kyle and Brittany Schulz, two women who decided Edmonton deserved a taste of Europe without the boarding pass. Inspired by their travels, they envisioned a place that would marry the charm of a café in Paris with the poise of a London lounge, and the result is an intimate, 40-seat bar that feels both transportive and grounded.
More than a place to sip cocktails, Bar Trove was designed as a curated escape: globally influenced flavors, a finely tuned wine and spirits list, and a steady rotation of small plates that prove “bar snacks” can be as sophisticated as the pour they accompany. It’s hospitality with a passport stamp, distilled into a room where details carry as much weight as the drinks menu.

When the Venue Is This Chic, Who Needs Event Decor?
Design is where Bar Trove flexes its most enviable muscle. Lauren Kyle, through her globally recognized Kyle & Co Design Studio, treats the bar as both an extension of her interiors portfolio and a living showroom for Trove Living. Every detail contributes to the atmosphere: warm breccia countertops with large aggregate, dramatic enough to rival a Kandinsky, pleated lamps, and custom-carved wooden stools.
It’s the sort of space that photographs beautifully, but also makes you want to settle in, as if you’ve stepped into a particularly stylish townhouse in Notting Hill. The intimacy of the room lends itself to the kind of celebrations that require both charm and discretion: a reunion where the catch-up is as indulgent as the Lobster Linguini, or a wedding after-party where the best conversations happen at the bar. Bar Trove doesn’t just host an evening; it stages it.
Bonus: Consider the décor handled: when you host here, the space is already styled to perfection.

Perfect for Birthday Dinners, Girls’ Nights, and Toasts With a Side of Caviar
When it comes to hosting, Bar Trove makes a persuasive case for keeping gatherings intimate but impactful.
The bar itself seats 40, with the option to expand into the adjoining Trove Living showroom should you need additional space for a larger guest list. Event menus are as playful as they are refined: caviar chicken nuggets and hamachi crudo have already become house signatures, while truffle honey ricotta and oysters have that “keep them coming” quality.
Behind the bar, Trove Martinis and Pomelle Spritzes anchor the cocktail list, with non-alcoholic spritzes like the Oh Là Là and Petit Bisou making baby showers and sober-curious celebrations feel equally considered.
The setting works as seamlessly for a birthday dinner as it does for a welcome party, a girls’ night out, a brand launch, or even a promotion toast where dessert spoons of Bananas Foster mark the high point of the night. What Bar Trove offers is more than a rental; it’s a ready-made canvas where atmosphere and menu come together to shape the memory.

Private Event Menu Fun
Bar Trove’s menus lean into theater, the kind of dining that feels playful, indulgent, and a little unexpected. Think European-inspired cocktails (a limoncello spritz with prosecco, sage, and lemon) or mocktails with personality (the “Oh La La,” shaken with agave, grapefruit, pink Himalayan salt, and lime).
Pair your drink with a culinary lineup designed for sharing and conversation:
- Oysters - ginger chili mignonette, classic accompaniments
- Charcuterie Grissini - Italian breadstick, cured meat, herbs
- Crudité - fresh garden vegetables, yogurt dip, cracker crisp
- Hamachi Crudo - yuzu, coconut, jalapeño, cilantro
- Truffle Honey Ricotta - toasted baguette, Marcona almond, lemon zest
- Bananas Foster Spoon - rum caramel, vanilla ice cream, walnut
And then, the show-stopping moments: imagine your guests greeted by a caviar tower (Osetra caviar, gluten-free blinis, crème fraîche, chives) or a seafood tower stacked high with oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail, tuna crudo, caviar bumps, champagne mignonette, Trove hot sauce, lemon, and horseradish, finished with a touch of tableside drama (shredded egg, potato chips, shallots).
It’s equal parts feast and spectacle, the kind of menu that meets the decor and makes the night unforgettable.

Your Next Celebration Deserves Bar Trove (And Our Supper Club Secrets)
Bar Trove was practically built for the VR Supper Club Collection. It’s the kind of place that flexes both ways: book it for a private celebration and the design does the heavy lifting with rose velvet seating, pleated lamps, and breccia countertops dramatic enough to pass as art mean the space is already dressed before guests arrive.
Or, gather the crew for a night out and it shifts effortlessly into group mode, thanks to a menu designed for sharing (think pomme frites with Calabrian chili aioli, or caviar chicken nuggets with crème fraîche and chive).
Bottom Line: Bar Trove isn’t just a venue, it’s the secret backdrop every good supper club needs whether you are meeting friends for a night out, or hosting a private event.
