Senior Sales Development Representative

The Venue Report is a media to marketplace platform that connects millions of users with extraordinary venue spaces across the globe. We are transforming the way people find spaces for their celebrations, gatherings and group experiences, and how the hospitality industry is marketing their spaces to this user base.

You will be a key member of our team responsible for educating customers about TVR products, prospecting and developing qualified sales leads, managing inbound and outbound sales cycle, and closing leads in order to support the revenue and growth goals of our business. As a SSDR you will be developing and testing sales strategies and converting leads on both the inbound and outbound sales side. Outbound means that we initiate the first touch point with buyer personas and educate ideal customer profiles that have never engaged with our products before.
  • Manage prospects from lead generation through deal closing, with the ability to articulate value proposition, navigate objections and foster relationships
  • Develop and iterate on business development strategies including: cold-calling, prospecting email campaigns and other in-house sales development best practices to develop and qualify prospects and maintain a strong funnel of qualified leads
  • Set-up and run demo meetings & sales calls for qualified prospective clients
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to accelerate the sales cycle and extend our reach into target accounts
  • Consistently gather and use relevant industry and site-wide data to inform decision-making, help build outreach strategies and to convert sales
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas for developed sales qualified leads as set forth by the Director of Sales & Marketing


  • BA/BS degree in relevant field
  • 3-6 years of inside sales experience in tech sales development and lead generation
  • Proven track record achieving measurable inside sales goals in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
  • Strong sales aptitude and fundamental understanding of the sales process, including a demonstrated skill in qualifying prospects
  • Excellent ability to turn data and value prop into strong marketing messages
  • Sound tech-savvy, business acumen and the ability to articulate a compelling value proposition in a complex and evolving business environment both on the phone and email
  • Strong customer empathy and knack for identifying customer pain points then presenting the TVR products that will help that customer
  • Enormous drive to meet and beat sales development quotas
  • No trepidation about speaking live with prospects and overcoming objections over the phone

Senior Editor, Social + Content

As The Venue Report Senior Editor of Social & Content you have a passion for storytelling, content and an effortless ability to tell stories about gatherings, celebrations, travel, culture and human connection. You are an excellent writer who is able to able to craft both long format articles and short, attention-grabbing social media one liners. Working closely with the photo editor, sales and marketing you will be responsible for translating The Venue Report voice across social media, videos and online articles. You know what makes a pun work and have a friendly inclusive voice for users.

At The Venue Report You Will

  • Lead the quarterly brainstorm meetings, briefing and delivery of all seasonal content for The Venue Reports social media channels and online magazine
  • Pitch unique story ideas, stay on top of seasonal trends and identify opportunities to work with key brands, influencers, hotels and venues in unique ways
  • Create and forward-plan compelling publishing calendar (words, images and video assets) optimized for cross-platform channels and manage those projects end to end with both external freelance writers and the internal sales + marketing team
  • Be responsible for defining, refining and implementing the content strategy across all channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest), the online magazine and Youtube.
  • Write engaging, catchy article titles and one-liners for social media channels
  • Ensure that the weekly newsletter is copy perfect
  • Conceptualize and assign TVR magazine articles using SEO best practices and audience analytics to inform your content decisions
  • Obsessively measure performance and optimize against KPIs.You will identify audience behavior content trends and report them to the sales team to arm them with data and knowledge for sales opportunities
  • Report on and interpret site, social and SEO analytics to inform future content-making decisions
  • Manage and edit freelance writers while assigning pieces to the photo editor in a timely manner
  • Lead and create facebook ad sets for non paid content
  • Drive video content ideas (travel, celebration and gathering focused) and write copy/scripts


  • You have a + BA/BS in a relevant field
  • You have 5+ years of copywriting/editorial experience in a digital and social media environment
  • You have strong experience in digital media with a proven track record of finding new, interesting ways to tell stories on both social media & digital spaces
  • You understand how to create and optimize ad sets on both Facebook and Pinterest
  • You are well-versed in the digital world, including content marketing best practices (SEO)
  • You have strong organization and project management skills
  • You are audience behavior focused - always working to put out work that resonates with the TVR audience and you are obsessed with data and identifying audience behavior trends

Senior Product UX Designer

The Venue Report is looking for a talented and driven Senior Product Designer to help define and execute the user experience of our web and mobile products. As a senior product UX designer, you will design engaging user experiences, lead the full lifecycle of your designs, collaborate with our project manager on strategy, integrate UX research and design into our development process, participate in research to test and validate designs, and work with graphic design and engineering to bring them to life. You will mentor and provide design leadership and assist in product organization and processes.

At The Venue Report You Will

  • Think in terms of design systems and turn complicated problems into simple solutions
  • Advocate for the customer (enterprise / consumer) and their needs, back up decisions with data, user motivations and behaviors while balancing the goals of the business
  • Quickly and efficiently produce solutions using sketches, wireframes and prototypes while understanding the proper level of detail to present to communicate your point of view
  • User test your designs and iterate based on insights
  • Integrate UX research and design into our development process while defining and communicating good UX / UI design best practices with a disciplined approach
  • Collaborate closely with product team members to brainstorm new products, identify user needs and transform them into user stories, functional specifications, wireframes, UI prototypes and end user documentation
  • Discuss your designs with engineers, and have a well established understanding of how your designs are built, and what their technical limitations are

Required Skills:

  • BS degree in Computer Science
