It’s Valentine’s Day and if that hotline bling can only mean one thing, turn those cell phones off - but get those glasses of champagne and your crew out on the dance floor! If that makes you say “what you talkin’ 'bout Willis?” You’ve come to the right place. We’re talkin' bout a V-Day bash a little more "Hello is it me you’re looking for?" than "Hello, from the other side…” Head to The Unique Space in downtown Los Angeles for the 4th Annual 80’s Fake Prom… Pretty in Pink style! Round-up your ride-or-dies, slang those ponies to the side and slouch down those scrunchy socks, this is an event that CANNOT be missed.
For the fourth year in a row, our friends at the Unique Space have tapped the Flashdance DJ’s to stop the world and melt with you via their rocking tunes and sunny-D dispositions. This year's theme is in honor of the 30th anniversary of the prom classic Pretty in Pink - so make like Andie in your dreamy, creamy florals & Lennon glasses while white tuxes and boleros are perfect for any Duckie or Blaines in your life. Hey now, heeeey now.
Need a little more inspo? It has been over 30 years (gulp) since this decade, after all. The folks at the Unique Space have created a handy dandy inspiration board wake you up, before you go-go gather:
All-inclusive tickets to (prom) paradise include:
- an open bar
- 1980s after-school snacks
- prom portraits complete with a cheesy commemorative folder
- DIY corsage+boutonniere stations
- and more!

Party Tip: Walk up to someone at the party and quote Duckie by shouting "This is a really volcanic ensemble you're wearing, it's really marvelous!"
Come on Eileen Oh, I swear what he means (what he means)
At this moment you mean everything
You in that dress
My thoughts I confess
Verge on dirty
Oh, come on Eileen - Dexys Midnight Runners
