4 Ways to Bring a Community Together at a Networking Event

Networking events are some of the best ways to show creativity while bringing a community together. At the recent Tassels & Tastemakers event in Denver hosted by Be Inspired PR, the team designed an evening that would strengthen the community, provide great networking opportunities and, of course, be a fun time.

Create a Photo Moment (or Two!)

We love having different spaces set up at events that are meant to serve as the perfect spot to capture an Instagram shot! There are so many fun ways to do this - like an eye-catching neon sign showing off a cool phrase! For our Tassels & Tastemakers event in Denver this year, we went with a winter white “Sleigh All Day” neon sign by Shop Narwall, and it was one of the biggest hits of the night! We also love creating some sort of unique display to really show off our creativity! The most Instagrammable moment of the evening was our oversized crescent moon complete with the most incredible faux florals by Compass Rose Floral. Photo moments are such a fun way to get everyone excited about your event, and with a good hashtag, you’ll be able to reach even more of your community!

Give Guests a Place to Connect with Each Other

One of our favorite parts of this year’s Tassels & Tastemakers event was the cozy lounge we created using rentals from Wallflower Rentals. It’s such an easy way to create statement spots throughout your event space, and everyone always gravitates towards a pretty chair or a comfy couch! Lounges also create a great spot for your guests to sit and get to know each other. With fun and cozy seating and a cute table to set down your drink, it’s the perfect setting for guests to have easy conversations and exchange contact info!

Create Multiple Keepsake Opportunities

Everyone loves a goodie bag, and when you create multiple takeaways at your event, you’ll keep people talking for months to come! Some of our favorite giveaways at Tassels & Tastemakers included custom wood ornaments by Handsome Love Calligraphy, DIY bath salt blends at a station set up by Margot Elena, and DIY signature perfumes created by Scented Studio. Another favorite were the endless pictures from the Picture Me Camping photobooth! With so many fun treats throughout the event, guests were always able to show off and share their goodies with each other! It creates a fun and easy way for guests to remember your event even after it ends, and to connect with each other over the unique takeaways!

Give Guests a Common Interest to Connect Over

One of the most special aspects of this year’s Tassels & Tastemakers event was that guests were given the option to donate to Girls Inc. of Metro Denver as a way to give back to their community! This was a huge hit of the night, and guests loved the ability to have a night full of winter-themed fun while also knowing they were able to make a meaningful contribution to their local community. By picking a local charity to support, you’ll create even more value for your event, and you’ll give your guests an extra way to connect with each other and their community as a whole!
