Cozy redwood cabins are another accommodation option at The Land, all are set within close proximity to the saltwater pool and the main lodge. The simplistic design encourages relaxation.
For those who prefer the comforts of a residential house, The Land offers a few cottages and homes with decks, bathtubs, kitchens and other amenities. The stunner is the property’s strawbale house - a whitewashed adobe stucco house with grey oak flooring and two separate entrances - which sleeps up to 13 guests.
If your retreat is centered around getting back to nature, a stay in the glamping tents encourages just that kind of connection. Under a canopy of Douglas Fir trees, you’ll find 12 glamping-style accommodations with cozy beds, lanterns and colorful rugs. For added ease, top flight restrooms, showers and charging stations are just a short walk through the woods away.
Living off the land is one of the integral concepts at this retreat center, and the property utilizes its orchards and organic vegetable and herb gardens to create dishes served at the restaurant. Meal plans are easy to coordinate if you’re traveling in a group, with fresh foods and local meats, poultry and seafood added to round out the offerings.
The Land is set just beside the headwaters of the Navarro River, a home to otters, wood ducks, and egrets. In a short walk of the grounds, you’ll come across redwood forests, grassy meadows and plenty of wildlife. The property is home to about 50 species of birds, making it a great spot to slow down and observe nature at work. The Land is also a place to discover a network of old fire roads, hidden trails and quiet country roads, all of which offer varying landscapes and opportunities to wander.
