Yee haw! When our reporters here at The Venue Report discovered Apartment A, a brand new gem in Los Angeles’ fastest growing hotspot, the Arts District, we knew we wanted to host a giveaway for a lucky winner to be able to experience an intimate dinner party. We styled the event with the theme, “Go Buck Wild”. A Western and Indian Summer fusion to just let go and enjoy gathering with friends and family.

When we stumbled upon brand new venue, Apartment A in the Arts District of Los Angeles, we couldn't wait to design a gathering here. We couldn't have fallen more in love with the three men behind the venue either.

It's important to set the tone of the event with your invitation. The Venue Report collaborated with designer Printed Palette Ink to create these hand watercolored Western inspired invitations. The invitations were wrapped in scrap pieces of leather and enclosed by cruelty-free porcupine quills. Photo: Braedon Flynn Photography

Intimate venue spaces can have backdrops too. They don't need to be large. Get creative! We wanted the winners to feel carefree and simply enjoy gathering with their friends and family without having to lift a finger. Thus the theme "GO BUCK WILD" was created. The lucky winner Nikki, brought her closest friends and family to the dinner party. We set the photo op behind a sofa that was already at the venue. This way we were not taking up too much room for the backdrop. Guests could lounge AND take photos. Photo: Braedon Flynn Photography

We wanted to style for the venue setting of Apartment A. Because the venue is an intimate space we kept the colors neutral and really focused on the details. Intimate venue spaces allow for your DIY projects and details to really shine.

One of the perks about planning an event at venue Apartment A is that they already have fabulous vintage furniture for you to use! Velvet sofas, props, a wood feasting table and mismatched chairs are just some of the goodies you will find.

The Venue Report designed the dinner party with Batik print napkins for a breezy boho vibe. We purchased tan leather tool belt holsters and used them as utensil holders with dinnerware by Borrowed Blu.

Carissa from JL Designs did stunning floral arrangements that were low, lush and filled with driftwood, branches, succulents, and ivory flowers. She placed fools gold at each setting for a glittering accent reminiscent of the Wild West.
