Accommodations
Most probably you’ve spent the day unwinding in the house and gardens or being pampered in the spa; you may have tucked into a few courses in The Potager restaurant or perhaps a few drinks at The Village Pub, so you’re going to be absolutely ready for bed! Rather than tell you what we think about our luxury hotel in Cotswolds, here are the eighteen most commonly used words (from guests) when describing one of the eighteen bedrooms at Barnsley House…

Venue Features
The scene:
The main house, with 18 luxurious bedrooms (available for exclusive hire), has been designed to exceptional standards with a blend of contemporary and traditional features. If we were put on the spot and asked to provide one word to describe the hotel, spa and gardens, we think it would probably be ‘charming’. If we were allowed a few more words, we might say that it’s the most charming, perfectly equipped and complete Cotswold location for small and intimate weddings, celebrations and events.
Standout venue features:
The Potager restaurant looks out to the gardens and is quite lovely. Sprigs of rosemary and linen napkins dress the tables with menus inspired from the Barnsley garden seasonal crops and local produce. If you tire of the daily home baked bread and crumbly shortbread biscuits with your afternoon tea, you can always nip across the road to our village pub. It’s actually called ‘The Village Pub’ and delivers everything you want a village pub to deliver – open fires, papers, pints and delicious food!
Extra perks:
Expertly maintained by Head Gardener Richard Gatenby and his team, Barnsley House’s gardens are the perfect place to unwind morning, noon and night. Featuring knot gardens, statues by Simon Verity, the Laburnum Walk and an ornamental fruit and vegetable garden, the grounds are among England’s most famous settings. It was Rosemary Verey who began redesigning Barnsley House’s gardens in the 1950s, to both critical acclaim and global interest.
