The Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne encompasses 383 rooms in four hotels, 67 residences, 12 restaurants and bars, a 10,000 m2 (107,000 ft2) spa and wellness center, meeting space for up to 800 people – not to mention the highest outdoor elevator in Europe – and a funicular that deposits guests directly inside the hotel. A nine-hole golf course, three championship tennis courts, a curling rink, 70km (43 miles) of hiking and biking trails and a private lido on the lake will keep active guests busy and happy.

After a tour, guests can relax in the peaceful ambiance of this exclusive hotel, enjoy outstanding cuisine in the restaurants and lounges, and allow themselves to be pampered in our Alpine Spa and its infinity-edge pool.

Palace Hotel & Conferences
Our historic Palace Hotel, with its impressive design, culinary creativity and personal service, has opened up a new chapter in our hotel history. The RitzCoffier Restaurant with its traditional elements tells of the splendid past of the Palace Hotel. The rooms and suites have large windows looking out onto varied scenery, inviting you to discover what makes Central Switzerland one of the most beautiful regions in Europe.

Waldhotel Health & Medical Excellence
In this enchanting scenery, nature plays the main role and the perfect design brings elegance to the whole. The Waldhotel is the essence of contemporary exclusivity, conceived and designed by the famous architect Matteo Thun. Stones and wood from the development site merge into the world's largest gabion building. The facade of the terrace building is in harmony with the surroundings and nature.

Taverne 1897
This unique Bijou with traditional Swiss charm was renovated in 2012 and guests can enjoy authentic Swiss cooking here. The rooms are all furnished in the cosy Alpine style.

Alpine Spa
Step into a world of timeless elegance and wellness on the breathtaking cliff at the Bürgenberg, 500 meters above Lake Lucerne. The most spectacular highlight of the outdoor complex is the 35°C infinity-edge pool where the boundary between water and sky appears to melt away – as if in a dream.

Bürgenstock Funicular
Our Shuttle-Boat and Funicular are not only an alternative transport possibility from Lucerne to the Bürgenstock Resort but also part of numerous daily excursions. The arrival of the Bürgenstock Funicular directly into the Bürgenstock Hotel of the new Bürgenstock Resort is a highlight - and access is actually free to our hotel guests.

The Hammetschwand Lift
Located at an altitude of 1,132 meters, the Hammetschwand Lift is the highest outdoor elevator in Europe. Already 111 years ago, the trip on board this lift was taking the breath away from its first passengers. Today, the lift makes the 152-meter vertical run in less than a minute, and the excitement of speeding so quickly skyward is exceeded only by the thrill of taking in the spectacular view (closed in winter).

Medical Center
With the latest in medical technology and facilities, the Waldhotel's medical center is accredited as a hospital. There are several fulltime doctors on staff. All packages begin with the Waldhotel Basic Med program which requires a four-night stay and includes a complete physical examination, medical and medication history, eye and hearing tests, basic diagnostics including biometric and body composition, lung function, measuring energy metabolism, abdominal ultrasound, HRV and EKG. A medicinal massage and two body wraps are included. Guests at the resort's three hotels can book this and other programs.

The hotel’s three wine cellars provide an intimate setting for wine and champagne enjoyment and the Cigar Lounge is a sanctuary for cigar aficionados. Mike Wehrle, Culinary Director of the resort, oversees all 12 eateries and brings 23 years of experience with Michelin-starred restaurants and international luxury hotels. He works alongside prestigious chefs including 3 Michelin star Marc Haeberlin, Signature Chef of the RitzCoffier.
