Dairyland is not your run-of-the-mill party barn. 
Located on 50-acre Woodland Meadow Farms in the Seattle area, this quaint event space was created as a place for couples to celebrate their love, without having to fit to the traditional wedding mold. Bonus points go to the farm for mastering sustainable farming practices.

Venue Setting

Dairyland, the site of a former dairy farm, is an homage to rich economic history of the Snohomish Valley. The barns, built in the 1940's, have been gently updated. John and Amee, the owners, approached the property with a mindset of "preservation" versus "renovation." While modern amnenities have been added to the property, the rustic textures that can only come from age, have remained largely untouched. The interior and exterior of the main event barn, and old Calving Barn, is a whitewashed visual treat.

The farm today is now predominately a tree farm, with Christmas trees as well as some fruit trees. The Milking Parlor is now the location of the changing rooms and the catering prep kitchen. And the grounds have been planted with trees and native shrubs to bring a richer, more lush setting the areas around the buildings. An old "cow pad" or livestock flood sanctuary hill, has been sculpted and planted to now provide a hilltop view of the farm, the pond and the surround valley for a picturesque ceremony setting.
