This remarkable train immaculately appointed and air-conditioned throughout, provides a perfect vantage point from which to view breathtaking scenery, meandering rivers and the lush tropical landscape of Southeast Asia. 

There are several journeys available from the typical Bangkok-Singapore (or vice versa) to our signature journey 'Fables of Peninsula' from Singapore to Huay Yan. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information about our selection of journeys.

The train configuration is as follows: 3 restaurant cars, 1 bar car, 1 boutique, 41 Double cabins composed of 2 Presidential Cabins (twin beds), 24 State Cabins (twin-beds) and 15 Pullman cabins (upper and lower berths).

The Scene:
All our journeys offer a unique opportunity to encounter fascinating people both on and off the train. Our journeys are about adventure, discovery and excitement. 

Cocktails, fine dining, convivial company and spectacular views: this is what life aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express is all about.

Our fabulous staff will look after you at every step. Attentive but discreet, their aim is to make your journey smooth, indulgent and relaxing.

Design:
Step into your indulgent cabin and the scene is set for a timeless journey through Southeast Asia aboard this spectacular train.

There are three categories of cabins: Pullman, State and Presidential. All are fully air-conditioned with en suite bathrooms. Decorative marquetry and fine fabrics give an atmosphere of warm elegance.

The Pullman cabins have upper and lower berths, while State cabins and the Presidential cabins offer two single beds at floor level. During the day, berths/single beds are converted into comfortable seating, so guests can relax and enjoy the magnificent unfolding landscapes. 

Standout Venue Features:
The Observation Car located at the end of the bar with its own bar is the perfect place to enjoy cocktails amid a colonial 'veranda' ambience with its teakwood flooring and panelled walls. There is also an outdoor observation area to enjoy the panoramic scenery and stunning sunsets. 
Extra Perks:
All sightseeing and excursions are escorted by expert guides, and are designed to provide the perfect balance of relaxation on board with the opportunity for inspiring experiences off the train.

Food, Restaurants, Cafes:

Choose from three glamourous restaurant cars: 'Adisorn', ' Rosaline' and 'Malaya', one of which join the train for every journey. Each car is decorated in floral motifs reflecting the culture of the region. 

Menus offer delectable and innovative eastern and western fusion dishes created by our Executive Chef featuring local ingredients, providing the perfect dining experience. 

Bars & Lounges:
Located in the centre of the train, the piano bar is decorated with pale ash-wood panelling where a resident pianist entertains guests. Open all day and late into the night serving cocktails, aperitifs and liqueurs. Local entertainment can be enjoyed on selected evenings.
