Eveleigh has embraced the original identity of the historic structure it inhabits: an intimate and unpretentious residence on an orchard, built in 1923. As you are lead from the enchanting front garden, the reclaimed Douglas Fir floorboards salvaged from a century-old church seamlessly transition onto the back patio where the bar is highlighted by a stunning city-view backdrop. The picturesque country garden setting is adorned with rough hewn picnic-style dining tables, tufted banquets, reclaimed Oak panels, lime and olive trees, and a flanking herb and vegetable garden.
Design:
Built in 1923, originally a residence during Sunset’s orchard era, the historic structure has been reinvented into a welcoming rustic retreat. The space evokes a comfortable and relaxed feel filled with timeless character, recycled materials and repurposed design elements.

The food philosophy at Eveleigh is simple: allow the food to speak for itself. When possible, we provide all in-house production of the best the area has to offer. When looking beyond local purveyors, we source ingredients abroad that have conscientious practices and free-range origins. We are inspired by the freshness of California cuisine, with strong undertones of rustic, southern European traditions. Market-fresh fruits, herbs & spices; syrups & infusions made in-house; and the finest small-batch, handcrafted spirits are what dominate Eveleigh’s beverage program. Similarly, singular, small-scale productions which advocate organic or biodynamic principles are prevalent on our wine list.

The style of food draws on inspiration from southern Europe, with hints of California in a rustic, yet clean approach. Our menu is dictated by the season and around the availability of local and seasonal ingredients with a focus on simplicity and all in-house production.
Eveleigh’s mission is to make handcrafted cocktails that are seasonal and spontaneous with market-fresh herbs, spices, fruits and house-made syrups and infusions. This, combined with a selection of the finest small-batch handcrafted spirits available, our aim is to create revised classics that are both fun and accessible.
