Venue Setting

A stately historic fieldstone four-square farmhouse perched atop six beautifully landscaped scenic acres overlooking Intermediate Lake, an all sports lake with excellent fishing, on Antrim County's Chain-of-Lakes. The house was built by Dr. Andrew Baxter, a surgeon from Chicago in 1910 and originally had 120 acres for a horse farm. The house has served many functions since then, for both its families residing in it as well as a community space. It also sat vacant for a few years. Today, the home's original wood floors, 9' ceilings, wood burning stone fireplaces, large windows, wide trim, plaster walls and brass hardware provide guests with authentic early 19th century farmhouse details combined with stylish yet simple decor for a classic modern occasion.

The Most Beautiful Estate and Manor Venues Across America
If beautifully manicured gardens, stately mansions and regal settings are all over your wedding vision board, you’re going to love this list of venues. Grand estates and manors are tucked into cities and countryside locations all over the country, and we’ve gone ahead and selected some of our favorites. These are places that know how to utilize both indoors and out to create a wedding space that’s elegant, timeless and memorable. You can get married in peony gardens or fruit orchards, or be surrounded by Grecian statues when you exchange your vows. There’s a century-old Beverly Hills mansion overlooking the city of Los Angeles, a 175-room estate in the Brandywine Valley of Delaware that has a glass-enclosed pavilion, and a hilltop property with incredible views of Colorado’s Yampa River Valley. In short, there’s a little something to fit with just about any wedding vision board if private estates are your thing. Reporter: Alyssa Brown
