Venue Setting

The building which now houses Fremont Foundry Events was opened in 1981 as a hub for Fremont's eclectic artist community and played a special part in Seattle's art focused counterculture as some of Seattle's most famous (and infamous) statues were brought to life here. This is where the Jimi Hendrix statue was created by Daryl Smith in 1997 before being moved to Capitol Hill, and Fremont's continually controversial Vladimir Lenin statue, brought from Slovakia in 1989, was actually reconstructed. The building morphed with the times and people who lived, worked and created public, private and communal art within the artist colony that spanned over three decades. Venue Features
The scene:
Fremont Foundry is a versatile event venue located in the heart of the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. We are proud to offer Seattle's largest private rooftop deck, perfect for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, or company retreats. Fremont Foundry also offers an expansive 10,000 square foot industrial Atrium, complete with an iconic glass dance floor, modern industrial flare and custom lighting features.
Design:
Preserving the origins of a working foundry, the main atrium has a 20-foot oak ceiling with exposed steel beams, a sky-lit cement wall, surrounding mezzanine walkway & Juliet balcony, oversized industrial doors, and rich hardwood flooring. A sliding wood door opens up the atrium room to a naturally lit studio. Other features include a custom artist painted mural and state of the art sound system.

Have your wedding, reception or meeting in our sky-lit penthouse and spacious rooftop terrace with sweeping views of North Seattle. Floating steel stairs separate the patio and wood deck into two levels. The penthouse is encompassed by glass doors for views from each side. It includes a loft space and a wood-carved ceiling totem. This room is just right for that swanky summer cocktail party.

Perfect for outdoor cocktail receptions, Fremont Foundry houses a charming, secluded courtyard with wood decking, grasscrete, string canopy lights, cement garden features, and funky repurposed metal forging equipment. This courtyard has its own sidewalk entry through wooden gates and a gravel path stairway.

Standout venue features:
An eclectic hand painted mural is featured in our Studio, along with artist crafted lighting and a truly unique glass covered dance floor over an 8-foot pit that was once used to forge bronze statues.
Extra perks:
12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space throughout three floors
A generous inventory of on-site banquet and accent furniture
Floor planning assistance
Access to our award winning A/V, lighting and media production partners
Consultation meetings to assist you with event design and flow
