With four dining tables in different corners of the home, this spot has been designed with big get-togethers in mind. Groups have got plenty of space to play, whether it's competitions of pool or PlayStation 3 in the games room or solo workouts in the mini gym (which has a treadmill, cross trainer and exercise bike). The swimming pool is big enough to swim lengths, with plenty of sun loungers to soak up the Madeira sun. Those in charge of cooking have got a modern kitchen to work with, or the outdoor BBQ, where dinners can be scoffed on the heavy oak table as the sun sets. When the evening draws in, it's only a short drive to Funchal old town, or nab a spot on the four-person sofa for movie nights.
