Have You Any Wool?
Venue Setting
Nestled on a working sheep farm in the Scottish Borders, this former shepherd's cottage is as idyllic as it gets. We can't think of a better place to switch off and unwind, especially if you're keen on a ramble through the countryside. Pack your wellies and bring your bikes because there are 1,500 acres of farmland, rolling hills and country tracks to explore right on your doorstep. Make friends with the sheep, have a knockabout on the communal tennis courts or ask your host about arranging experiences like clay pigeon shooting, archery and tomahawk throwing. For a change of scenery, mosey around the neighbouring towns or drive to Edinburgh in under an hour – whatever you fancy, there's plenty here to keep you busy. Back at home, this cosy cottage has oodles of pastoral charm, yet all the modern comforts are accounted for, including a rainfall shower, glossy kitchen and flatscreen TVs with all your favourite streaming options. After a long walk in the fresh air, hang up your coats and kick off your wellies in the utility area, then make your way into the inviting sitting room with a glass of wine and rest your feet. When it's time for dinner, rustle up a feast to be shared around the dining table, then finish the evening off with a tipple out in the garden, watching the sunset and feeling utterly relaxed.
