On sunny days, take your fare into the rose-filled garden, watching as the world wakes up – if you're lucky, you may see a herd of deer or birds of prey in the neighbouring fields. Spend a chilled afternoon at home, working your way through the host's personal library, playing family board games or watching films on the DVD player in front of the fire. But if you're eager to get out and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, don your walking shoes for a ramble through the rolling landscape – there are a number of walking paths on your doorstep. Blockley has a charming cafe and a traditional village pub, but Moreton-in-Marsh is a ten-minute drive away if you want a bit more choice.
