From Cliffside Limoncellos in Italy to Kimono Rentals in Kyoto: 12 Boutique Hotels Your Guests Will Never Want to Leave
Enter the realm of boutique hotels that are so exquisitely curated they'll make your guests want to stay forever. Every detail is designed to captivate your guests and create the perfect setting for group travel, celebrations, and cherished moments with loved ones. The concept of "boutique hotels" begain in 1980 when entrepreneur and co-owner of Studio 54, Steve Rubell, compared these intimate, small-capacity and design-focused hotels to be similar to boutiques, as opposed to "department stores" or chain hotels. In 2025, we are seeing boutique hotels absolutely take over the industry and here's why: These thoughtfully designed spaces offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere that intertwine with noteworthy aesthetics, making an impressive backdrop for gatherings that exude intimacy and style. With a strong emphasis on attention to detail, each hotel provides an opportunity for hosts to craft bespoke experiences that align with their vision, from stunning decorations to culinary delights that tantalize the palate. Whether it’s bold colors that set the mood or enriching culture that informs the ambiance, boutique hotels are thoughtfully designed to match your tastes, making every celebration feel special and distinctive. From the sultry ambiance of Hotel Ulysses in Baltimore, with its inspiration drawn from the spirited nightclubs of Manila, to the chic sophistication of Château Royal in Berlin, where creativity breathes through every thoughtfully adorned corner—we have created a collection of the best boutique hotels around the world that will take your next gathering to a whole new level.
