Lockhaven Farm is a gathering place that offers an organic and natural backdrop to your bespoke wedding, whether you have dreamt of a lush and lavish event for all your friends and family or you prefer a more intimate affair filled with twinkling lights and romance to set the stage of your special day. With a private entrance and parking for all your guests the farm becomes a secluded haven for you to dance the night away surrounded by all your loved ones.

Winding pathways create a magical walk that lead your guests through our landscaped woods to their destination of your ceremony space + gathering area overlooking a lake.

​The South Carolina farmhouse and southern barn offer separate spaces for the bridal party and groomsmen to prepare for and find relaxation before the wedding. From the sun porch to the main dressing area, the bridal suite offers plenty of room to unwind and enjoy the sweetest moments before your ceremony. The barn loft provides the perfect place for the groom and his party to sit back, perhaps play a game of poker or two and prepare for the big event.

Inside Scoop

The family farm was purchased in 1994. Patriarch of the property, Johnny Holden, worked the land as a young boy, harvesting tobacco. It was his dream to someday own the haven. Property manager, Brooke Holden, always dreamed of being married on the land. After her wedding in April 2016, Brooke was ecstatic to announce the arrival of Lockhaven Farm.

48 acres of private farmland located right outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with overgrown oak trees, sunflower fields, and a few horses here and there.

We strive to be good stewards of the land, grooming where needed and allowing growth where it’s not. Our hope is that you see the beauty in the natural way our farm takes shape, organically, slowly, and full of life.

​We challenge you to take this same approach to your wedding day, soaking in the wonders of the day when you first arrive and enjoying the process of preparation, allowing everything you have worked to plan fall into place in the most natural way, and seeing the vibrant beginnings of a new life as husband + wife.

Design:
Our twenty year-old former horse barn was recently refurbished to include an open floor space to accommodate seating for more than 100 guests. The ceiling of the barn showcases beautiful wooden boards adorned with ambient light. In addition to the layout, our handbuilt wooden dining tables and benches and wooden spools complement southern style.
Standout venue features:
Sunflower fields cover one side of the property while tall Pine trees stand adjacent. A winding trail leads you to an arbor and a dock overlooking a lake.
