Accommodations
We are a boutique resort with 20 rooms, ranging from individual beds to spacious cabanas that can accommodate up to 35 guests. CASA With each building housing a range of multi-purpose rooms designed for single travelers, couples, or small groups alike, the Casas offer open-air living, views of the ocean, prime jungle positioning, and the space to do whatever it is that you came here to do. Please note that all guests have access to the common space available in each CASA. CASITAS The Casitas provide a three part experience within one structure: a covered terrace balcony where guests can do private yoga sessions or lie in the hammock; the main bedroom and bathroom with screened views of the surrounding jungle; and the upstairs loft, which offers an above-the-canopy perspective. CABANAS Immerse yourself in the jungle tree canopy via the luxuriously rustic experience of a private Cabana. Designed with one full sliding, floor-to-ceiling screen wall, these bright, airy and spacious (520 ft2 ) structures offer a true indoor/outdoor experience, as well as a bit more seclusion to get away from it all. PENTHOUSE Designed to be the ultimate showcase of paradise, the Penthouse is situated in the original Maderas Village property structure and features unparalleled views of the Pacific and the rest of the Village at large. A favorite spot to check which way the surf is breaking, the suite comprises a full private level including bench seating, an infinity terrace, a rooftop garden, and a spacious, open bedroom (225 ft2 with an en suite washroom).

Venue Features
The Scene:
Wake up each day and do what you want to do. This is the essence of Maderas Village – to live well, while practicing your passions, in an environment where you can be yourself and complete your thoughts, for however long you want to stay. Whatever your source of inspiration, we encourage you to embrace who you are. Wake up early, stay up late, surf everyday or stay on the beach, detox or indulge. Moderate or not, focus on breathing or enjoy a cigar. Listen or speak. Be an esoterist or a generalist. Debate or agree. Laugh or cry. Run or walk. The only thing that really matters here is that you be. This is a place to live. Whether for a short time or a long time – whether as a guest, partner, resident or owner.
Design:
A large amount of wood was used in the construction of the Village. While more expensive and more challenging to maintain, the goal is to showcase the unique colours and vibrancy of the unique wood that Nicaragua has to offer. To minimize our impact on the forests, we used primarily (more than 90%) naturally fallen hurricane wood from the North Atlantic Coast, teak wood from local plantations (typically regenerates in 8-10 years), and small re-purposed pieces of pechote wood that would have otherwise been sold as firewood. We chose to do our roofs in palm leaves, partially because the sound of rain falling on palm is so pleasant and relaxing, but also because the leaves regenerate to full size in 3-4 months after being cut and the eucalyptus beams regrow to a harvestable size in 5-6 years. These are water proof and last on average 4-5 years.
Standout Venue Features:
Free from distractions and the constraints of daily schedules, meals here give us a chance to slow down and enjoy the fresh tastes and local flavours of Nicaragua. Our menu is in constant evolution, with each dish or drink designed with one goal: to allow us all to eat and drink here every day and still look forward to the next meal and enjoy ever cocktail. To ensure this level of quality, we only buy the best of what’s in season and available from local farms and markets. Occasionally, this leads to items being unavailable, but we prefer to serve only that which is the freshest and best tasting We serve Breakfast and Lunch a la carte. Breakfast is available all day, and lunch is available between 11:30am – 4:30pm. Dinner is served family-style each evening between 7.45pm – 8.00pm, depending on the size of the group and complexity of the meal.
Extra Perks:
Yoga facilities, tea lounge, co-working space, screening room, reading room, massage and meditation studio, private surf lessons and energy healing.
Awards & Notables Over the last year we have been featured in the NY Times, Huffington Post, Notable.ca., Conde Nast Traveler, Refinery 29, A Hotel Life, and the Toronto Star.
