At Northern Pacific Center, reception rentals include access to two private, onsite getting-ready suites—each available for up to eight hours—designed to provide comfort, convenience, and a relaxed start to your celebration.

Each suite offers a spacious, thoughtfully designed environment ideal for wedding parties to prepare and unwind. Amenities include private showers, plush towels, garment steamers, and full-length mirrors to ensure everyone looks and feels their best. Comfortable lounge seating, dedicated styling areas, and ample natural light create a calm, photo-ready setting throughout the day.

To enhance the experience, both suites are stocked with complimentary snacks and beverages, allowing your group to settle in, enjoy time together, and prepare without needing to leave the property.

These lighting features transform the space after sunset, creating a romantic, magical atmosphere for receptions and events. From daytime gatherings to evening celebrations, the combination of architectural charm and ambient lighting makes every event feel curated, memorable, and effortlessly stylish.
Extra perks:
The reception venue includes access from 9:00 AM to midnight, with an extended tear-down period until 1:00 AM. Guests have use of two getting-ready suites for eight-hour time frames, complete with complimentary snacks and drinks. The venue provides wood farmhouse tables and chiavari chairs for up to 300 guests, as well as a lounge furniture set from our onsite furniture rental warehouse, which includes one sofa, two chairs, a coffee table, and a choice of rug. Additionally, ten cocktail tables (without linens), Wi-Fi, directional signage, stationary chandeliers, and string lighting are included to enhance the event experience.

Notch 8 Catering & Restaurant, located at 1551 Northern Pacific Rd in Brainerd, MN. Our restaurant sits inside the historic Northern Pacific Center, once a railroad repair shop. Today, the same walls that held steel and steam now hold laughter, conversation, and the smell of something delicious cooking in the air. From juicy burgers and melts to fresh seafood and chef-inspired Asian dishes, our menu is made to please all tastes. Every visit is a chance to try something new—or come back for your favorite. We’re lucky to have Executive Chef Matt Annand leading our kitchen. His love for food and years of experience have made him a legend in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Every dish he creates is full of flavor, care, and creativity. When you dine with us, you’re tasting something truly special.

Loco Espress Coffee House and Boutique is locally owned and sits in the historical Clock Tower building located in the Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd Minnesota. Upon entering Loco Espress, you experience rustic railroad charm, relaxing music, original artwork by Mary Tuomi and wafts of coffee and other delicious aromas. As the "home of the Coffee Flights and Tea Flights", many come to Loco Espress for the variety of quality coffees, espresso and loose leaf teas. Loco supports local businesses including Reality Roasters coffee, and carry Black Rifle coffee and merchandise to support our beloved veterans. Enjoy a unique light food menu and browse the contemporary boutique. Come for the coffee, Zingers, tea and food creations, and stay for the ambiance. It's an experience you don't want to miss!
