Once Upon a Time in ... Hollywood
Venue Setting
Crowned with turrets and illuminated by fairylights, this Hollywood home comes in the form of a perfect Disney-style castle. Built in 1926, the castle part of this home is Hollywood quirkiness at its finest with round beds tucked into nooks and crannies, and arched, medieval doorways leading to light-filled living rooms. If sleeping in a turret isn’t your thing, the second half of the compound is in a modern house, with its own huge kitchen and five of the bedrooms. The jewel in the tiara here is the rooftop terrace – a higgledy-piggledy space of secret hot tubs sets it wooden decking (there are two), circular day beds fit for a princess, a shaded dining area and glass atriums connecting the turret bedroom. Surveying your kingdom from the lookout amidst the crenulations, you’ll see you’re a five-minute drive from the boutiques and restaurants of Hollywood Boulevard, and a ten-minute drive up the hill to the iconic Hollywood sign.
