The inn is nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Santa Barbara Wine Country, which is a scenic two hour trip from Los Angeles or a short 40-minute drive from the local Santa Barbara Airport. 

As a boutique, 20-room property, guests can enjoy the exclusivity of a private estate with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Additionally, our 5000 sqaure feet of dynamic indoor and outdoor space allows us to create a bespoke experience for you and your guests.

Our talented general manager, John Richardson, makes a delicious chocolate cake or lavender lemonade (with fresh lavender from a local farm) - both from scratch! Room 214 has a jetted soaker tub right inside the room, with bay windows overlooking the courtyard garden area.

When it comes to selecting the right venue for your event, we offer everything but the conventional. Our 2000 square-foot Coach House serves as the ideal location for an indoor reception. It features a stunning bar with exposed brick, ideal for cocktail hour, in addition to an expansive dining room which can host a variety of seating arrangements. The large barn doors open up to a spacious back patio with romantic twinkle lights that can set the scene for a dance floor or added seating for dinner. 

Starting with the lush garden down to the details within, Santa Ynez Inn features opulent touches throughout. Upon arriving, guests can find our garden area complete with brick firepits and fireplace, a serene fountain, fragrant rose bushes, as well as romantic twinkle lights, making it the perfect place to relax with wine and enjoy the valley’s year-round temperate climate. 

Our beautiful lawn and lush garden is located directly in front of the inn and provides the perfect backdrop for your “I do’s”. This versatile space can also be used for cocktail hour or an alfresco reception during warmer evenings. Your guests can enjoy dining and dancing under the stars or cozy up to the fire pits while sipping wine.

Designed after a historic, turn-of-the-century inn, the interior is comprised of well-appointed guestrooms in addition to a welcoming parlor, library, and spa. These spaces feature elements that emphasize the property’s luxurious ambiance: sparkling chandeliers, grand fireplaces, high ceilings, and curated arts and antiques.

Guests can enjoy appetizers such as Spanish potato omelet bites, grilled shrimp skewers, and beef sliders among other options - perfect for pairing with local wine, craft cocktails, and beer. Plated, buffet, or family style entrees are available - featuring pasta, fish, beef, and chicken. And for those looking to end the evening with a little something sweet, they can select from three desserts such as a seasonal fruit crumble, valhrona pot de creme, or house-made churros. 

Looking for something extraordinary? From the first bite to the last, casual dining or indulgent, our talented Chef Beto Huizar can craft a menu for your special day. 
Bars & Lounges:
Libations can be enjoyed in our Coach House bar, outdoor Garden Area, indoor Parlour, or Library. We suggest a whiskey in the Library for a nightcap!
