Venue Setting

Nine rooms, one bar, so many stars. Return to the simple pleasures in the heart of the wild Catskills, just two hours and forty minutes from NYC. A cozy bed, the quiet sounds of the country, a sip of something by a bonfire. It's the country getaway you know you need.

We've hosted over a dozen weddings and counting on our eight acres, from intimate affairs of just ten folks to one hundred and twenty person parties. We also host loads of retreats and workshops. For writers, for illustrators, for small companies looking to bring a project to the next level. Events currently take place outside or in our bar, though we also have our rustic barn available as an indoor meeting space May through October. We'll be doing a massive restoration of the 1200 square foot barn throughout this winter and spring, so by summer 2018 folks will be able to enjoy the space even more!

Our 2018 wedding calendar is currently full, but we'll be releasing our 2019 information later this spring. We do still have midweek availability for 2018 events such as reunions and workshops and performances so please feel free to reach out about those!

Accommodations
We have nine rooms. Think simple luxury. Modern, minimalist, just a little bit rustic. Biiiiig windows that look out to the meadow and mountains. Cozy beds made for sleeping in. All natural bath products. You know, the good stuff.

We also have small bar in Room One where we serve beer, wine, cider, whiskey, simple cocktails, and snacks like soups and sandwiches. (Plus coffee in the morning!) You can also shop seasonally variable goodies to whip up something delicious in your kitchenette or at the BBQs, or take with you on a hike. Think organic beef patties, oatmeal and local maple syrup, locally made beef jerky and granola bars...

There are five fire pits dotted around the eight acre property for your enjoyment. You've got complimentary wood stacked outside your room. Ask Room One for kindling and/or fire making tips, order some s'mores supplies, then go out and enjoy the plethora of stars. There are also five old fashioned Weber grills you're welcome to use any time ya like! We've got grill tools in Room One and charcoal and lighter fluid available for purchase.

You can sunbathe, stroll, set up camp in our hammock, take a whirl on the swing, or ask Room One for our horseshoe, bocce, or croquet sets. Feel free to bring your own frisbees, picnic blankets, and stacks of old New Yorkers you're still catching up on... And go ahead, take a dip in the fresh mountain water creek!

Our barn is 1200 square feet (30' x 40') with a 620 square foot patio and 2 bathrooms. It was first built in the 1860s in the old fashioned Dutch way-- all hand hewn hemlock beams, just pegs and posts without any nails. We are currently restoring it to its original shape, adding indoor and outdoor electricity and light fixtures plus two bathrooms and a concrete patio that overlooks West Kill Mountain.

The barn IS NOT FURNISHED, so you will want to rent your own tables and chairs etc to suit your exact needs. We do not provide outdoor Ceremony chairs either, although there are 5 picnic tables and 12 lounge chairs you are welcome to move about the property wherever you'd like. (Rental rates will depend entirely on your style and from whom you are renting, but most folks have locally rented their Ceremony chairs and Reception tables and chairs for around $600.) There is a graveled and covered area for caterers on the western side of the barn with access to electrical outlets. Our northern meadow also access to electrical outletsThere is NO potable water source in either location, so caterers will need to bring their own water. We'll be releasing more information about the barn as the renovation continues.
